I think it's worse now because of the amount of money involved.
More individuals are in sport for profit rather than the, well sport.
As scaredypants said, the stakes are high.

A friend of mine bought his kids ice creams but poured salt on them so they wouldnt ask again…horrible man.

any sport where pretty much all of the participants can stand still at the same time just does not do it for me. To each his own though.

While we're at it, could we add landmines and grenades to spice up cricket?

Not the point, it could have been any charity.
You're being argumentative and belligerant and you know you are.

Fair enough, but give it to help for heroes at least.

    Neil Back, cheat? never :D
IMHO skullduggery at the bottom of a ruck is one thing, popping blood capsules in your mouth is quite another. If williams wasn't such a poof, he'd have bitten his lip open.
This really needed addressing, the amount of props "injured" when their scrum was being pushed around the park was so obviously cheating.

No problems nick. Sorry to be a pedant.
These two occurances are disgusting and have damaged the name of the sport I love for a very long time. The way that DRs old cronies (Moore etc) are rallying around him and attempting to further villify Williams to take the pressure off him is a disgrace. Ban the f***er for life.

Bloodgate was harlequins, Bath was "Drug"gate.

Whatever, I'd like to nominate Flange for having the best STW name.

To clarify, I do NOT give the dog onions and garlic. He's never more than a foot away if you're in the kitchen and any dropped food usually doesn't hit the floor. EBTs are hungry beasts!

Bin it. £25 won't buy much and you'll feel better for it.
Otherwise you'll be forever driving past the RM picket lines hanging your head.

Mine eats any fruit or veg, even dropped garlic and onions.
to be fair there's very very little that he wont eat. Pills are easy, I just show one to him and he sits up and begs for it.

it's concentration in its purest form – a kind of transcendental meditation as all peripheral thoughts and anxieties take a backseat for a few electrifying moments. nothing better to banish the humdrum for a while and experience a high no drug I've ever tried would be able to rival… ok, apart from smack, obviously. and maybe chang.

    LOL

You have more bikes than most people on here. You have a bike for jumping, a bike for riding along and a bike for going downhill.

The bike is split and is being sold in parts on bikeradar.
Totalled up, the parts are listed at ~£1500 odd. Not bad.

We're (mostly) blokes and blokes like shiney toys.
We buy them because we can afford them and MTB-ing is our pastime.

Limping around pushing your bike with blood p1ssing out of you looks pretty silly IMHO.

I adored the wire and recommend watching generation kill.
As for the best TV show ever, I'd like to volunteer band of brothers. There's not many TV programmes that I'd describe as important; but I believe it's important that people watch that series.

Sorry for the terminology faux pas.
I'd also like to see some of the technical divers who can go to really really mental depths. I was under the impression that mr Corliss didn't require sponsorship and wasn't short of a couple of bob.

I would not like to have a conversation with him but really admire what he does. The images were stunning. Next week is the arctic naked marathon runner! Be good to see free climbing.

I hated my Spec FSR. Dull feeling. My 5.5 on the other hand is much more fun. Not tried a DW though.

So are we better off or worse?
Is gordon blairs "british jobs for british people" fair or correct? or should it be completely free market?

Ernie, should that not be the choice of the individual?
On the topic of the thread title, I dislike the mail the exact same amount that I dislike the guardian. My question is; is there an absolutely neutral newspaper? I do not want to read opinions or be told what my thoughts should be. I want to read factual news and make my own mind up. Suggestions welcome!

    grumm, I completely agree.
£60K is a lot of money for a plumber to earn, self employed or not.
I'd suggest that $40K is plenty for any self employed trade (gas fitter),
£30K for more traditional plumber types. I've been on site with Polish workers and have no issue with them at all. They're polite, hardworking and also have good standards although I'd not agree to say they're better or worse than Brits as that would be racism. It's the other side of immigration that I have issue with.

    Is £50K odd P/A reasonable? £40K?, £30K?
