Pretty much all current offerings will be a massive improvement on juices.

Just stuck 36 floats on my new one. Haven’t managed to ride it yet though (brake hoses too short) :(
No riding for me again this weekend.

Isn’t this the same chap who caused a stir RE SPDs not so long back? Then served a significant ban IIRC. Can see this going the same way.
Knows how to push the buttons doesn’t he?

Men like it when they’re told in plain (or dirty) language. It’s a massive turn on (for me).
Tell him very directly what you want, you’ll be surprised with the result.

I’ve done that Sunken heli thing too. I didn’t enjoy it at all. I thought it was massively over rated and would need to be paid vast sums to repeat it. Pitch **** black it was so you don’t know which way is up!

I’ve handled a lot of explosives and blown many things up including a Russian tank!
Probably the dodgiest thing has been disarming land mines.

Conversely, I have had excellent service from cyclestore.co.uk and (believe it or not) Evans mail order. The Evans mail order chap was very helpful (more so than anyone else I’ve had recent dealings with) and the delivery was very prompt. I was expecting a nightmare TBH but they were the only ones I could find with stock so gave em a go. Glad I did.

I likes him. I likes the fact that some of OUR money goes into his pocket. :D

    Church wedding?
    Try refusing on non-religious grounds?
Other than that just tell him to f*** off.

Yep, Gadaffi deserves all he gets. I’m glad he’s not fleeing as it means that soon we’ll be rid of him for good.

AND soon to be mrs BH is away on her hen weekend!

We (the UK) don’t get a huge amount of oil from Libya IIRC. The French do though. For the UK, I think it was more of an opportunity to get Gadaffi who we have a fair amount of history with (Lockerbie, PIRA) in a “paybacks a bitch” scenario.

Hill has the best sense of humour by far on the WC circuit right now.

Don’t often agree with GW but he’s spot on here. Sam’s just a mega chilled bloke with a SOH drier than the gobi desert IMO.
I’d say he certainly has more personality than Gee Atherton who seems to try far too hard to be cool and just comes off as dull.

    Not great.
I chased my order to be told that one item wasn’t in stock so I cancelled my order.
    I wouldn’t say don’t use them but make sure;
    1) You’re not in any kind hurry for your kit
    2) Phone before ordering to ensure stock
I may use them again provided I adhere to my own advice and they were considerably cheaper than anywhere else. To be fair, they did answer my mails pretty quickly but unfortunately I had to chase them to find out they didn’t have stock rather than them mailing me.
They’re not the only ones, I’ll never order from Rutland cycling as long as I have a hole in my arse.

They actually advertise MTBing as an activity!
    Best avoided I think.
What are the reviews like on tripadvisor?

Depending on the road layout and the conditions

I think that this is key; I’m all for people protecting themselves. I must admit that I do get irked when there’s a couple of cyclists hogging the entire road having a nice chin wag for no good reason.

I know what you’re thinking: ‘Did he fire six shots, or only five?’ Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?

Mine would be too, but I’d rather spend time with my family

You’ve answered your own question really. Why are you moaning about not being able to do stuff when by your own admission you don’t try to as you’d sooner be home with your wife & baby?

Yep RAF regt (or SRDG) are rockapes.
Tootall, I have no gripe with RAF police (well no more than monkeys anyway).
I was wrong, they don’t wear white berets they wear white HATS!

Snowdrops – RAF Feds, So called because of their White hats, which they wear so you can see them coming. See also Rozzers, Feds, and Scuffers.

Oh, and everyone gets a maroon beret if serving with airmobile bde (clerks, medics etc) regardless of P-coy or jumps status.

Ah, RAF MPs wear white berets. Hence the term “snowdrop”. I suppose they’re not really monkeys then; that not so affectionate nickname is reserved for the army red beret wearing RMPs

How do you know they were monkeys, were they wearing their red berets?

Ordered thurs but did get a prompt email reply which told me they’d be dispatched when they’re ready (in so many words).

Hence the “passing resemblance” comment

No, because then you’ve given up and taken the easy option

So, SSing is all about looking hard? Well, sorry to break this to you but cycling (any) doesn’t make you look hard.

I’ve read that it may be a bit similar to the Decathlon NEUF(?) system. Someone on the MTBR forum had asked about possible patent infringement in europe.

I had the same dilemma very recently. Looked at and tried a load of bikes. Settled on a 2011 DW 5 spot. Should be ready at the ass end of this week.

Personally I think, having a wedding abroad and then expecting people to visit you there without you paying is a cheek. If I have a wedding abroad I’ll pay for those I invite, though it won’t be many.

While I admire your generosity, that’s a bit unrealistic. I’m getting married abroad soon and we only planned on very few coming. We made it very clear that we didn’t expect people to feel obliged but people find out, fancy a break somewhere nice and all of a sudden there’s 40 odd people coming which will be expensive to feed let alone transit and accommodate. We have paid for the best man, bridesmaids and a couple of the younger ones who aren’t well off (partly because they’ve never been abroad and we wanted to do it).
