6ft near as dammit. Gave my large it’s (very wet) shake down ride tonight.
Running fox 36s initially at 160 with the intention to reduce them to 150 or even 140. It climbed so well with no wander that I’ll leave them as they are. I don’t want to lower the front end either, if anything I’d like it a little slacker.
The bike is seriously efficient, looking down at the shock when climbing it wasn’t moving at all and just went quietly forward without any fuss when pedalled. One thing, my new fox kashima forks felt terrible. I’ve had the exact same forks before and they were brilliant but these gave me arm pump and had no small bump compliance at all. I lowered the pressure as far as I dared and ran no comp dampening with no joy. I’m hoping they just need to bed in. I was getting knocked off lines all over the place which I really hope isn’t a trait of the frame!!! Day off so afan tomorrow, I’ll see how it gets on there!
Could any riders let me know they’re weight and what pressure they are running in the rp23 please. I found myself running ~190, which seems high going by the recommendation on the turner site for a 14,7st bloke.
