well thanks everyone, helped a great deal, so canning the idea of OZ now (was going to go for other reasons too) but just too expensive and not great weather,

going to look at surfing in northern spain, and then biking in picos europas area and pairofknees, oops i mean Pyrenees 🙂

hmmm so it seems the further north the coast you go, the better the weather but less surf spots….
Cairns for example, looks perfect but no surfing 🙁

I’ve spent the morning looking at campsites too, and as said previously above, dam they can be expensive, despite it being “winter” its high season rates! doh!

thats bad news about campsite prices!
hmmmm we’d want some warmth as its a long way to go to get a “scottish summer” feel like here in the highlands 🙂

thats for the tip on surf forums – I’ll see what they think too.
i guess flying to OZ via US or ASIA might open up something like BALI
it might be an ideal CHEAP as a stopover for 5 days out before continuing on….
how cheap is US at the moment, california must have 1 or 2 surf spots 😉 😉

isnt there a Renault Scenic which has a 4×4 higher ground clearance version, ‘part from the electric windows the scenic is a great car with tons of boot space and removable rear seats etc.

I had 2 cats that lived together from birth, but then when one died, the other would not accept a new one, so that one had to be rehomed,
so the six in one house was impressive.
would have liked to have seen more research/shown in the program, about that other that a few sentences,
    was it down to owners?
    was it down to food?
were they all kittens when growing up?
    is it rare? common? etc
they seemed to be mixed gender too.

    lovely build.
17lbs eh, what about pump, saddlebag tyre levers multitool and inners though?

or do real roadies prefer low weight over chance of puncture 😉

thought it was pretty cool and scary, no OTT stuff to try and vamp it up, nice cool pace…

the knife attack was pretty cringy to watch 🙁

    Dahab is good,
Marsa Alam is good depending on the resort, and you can do day trips out too, we went with Brayka Bay Hotel it was average, reef was good though, however it turned into a nightmare of projectile vomiting and dioreha, at the same time 🙁 , for 4 out of the 7 days, and seemed hotel wide. hope no one ever gets that
and just when you needed hot water, they shut it all off for a day.

I do wonder about the fact some advertise onsite Doctor, is that a good thing or bad….! :-/

    sorry for basic question,
does the roady BB91 limit what cranksets you can put on there – sorry not clued up on roady cranks, my commuter has Shimano 6700/6703 Ultegra & Bottom Bracket…could it be ported directly across or is it a new crankset?

well done in getting on the bike and motivated!!! its easy when the sun is out, but the wind, omg, its been bad recently.

32K each way, 4 times a week max, road, minor undulations, some traffic too. road bike with contis gators.

best i’ve done with a tail wind of 20+k/h 49mins, worst ive done back against the persistant easterly , ranging from 5 to 30k/h is 1h26!
    the downsides are
1- only 1 route in and out due to avoiding a96 & traffic
2- mega hunger cravings that come from nowhere some days
    3- aforemention wind

positives are far too many to mention….

this morning me and a Hare had a race, the Hare won as it left me for dead at 38km/h !!!!

ta for the advice.i think it maybe the larger lever is moving too much along with the small lever when you use it to change, so perhaps the fault lies there.
shimano tech docs dont show much for my year of duraace, so not sure how to even dissasemble the lever. will keep looking!
