He’s a fantastic lyricist, I’m sure I read somewhere that he has the largest vocabulary compared to other rappers. None Shall Pass is worth a listen

You will need 2 hazels but you can plant them in the same hole an twist the trunks together, or coppice as already suggested and burn it, craft it or sell it. Cherry is pretty but most varieties are sour, it’s not so easy to harvest either and you’ll have to be fast to get there before the birds. Apples need the right weather conditions to get a good tasty crop and can be inconsistent. Have you thought of fruit canes like raspberry or blackcurrant? They can be quite invasive though. If you’re into gin then juniper or blackthorn are good and elder makes a decent wine or Sambuca shot. I’d also get a pair of plums, Victoria plums are sooo sweet I’ve eaten them before the wasps get a whiff

That’s how we convince ourselves that we’re not the problem, then we don’t have to change anything. If we do recognise we’re doing something wrong, we’ll make sure that the solution makes a profit, keeps you in your place and looks good on a CV

I’ve got a lot of respect for Akala, especially as Ms Dynamite is his sister, he’s an amazingly intelligent man who applies his knowledge consideringly. 10 years ago I’d have said that some of his accounts of discrimination sounded a bit extreme for a child of the 80’s, Akala would have been 10 when Stephen Lawrence was murdered which was supposed to have triggered a revolution in the way in which the police and other agencies treated black people and ethnic minorities. Yet in 2019 I am pursuing a case of institutional racism in the Scottish education system, they don’t make it easy to hold them accountable and are honestly frightening if you try to.
The problem isn’t so much the crap that Katy Hopkins and her ilk spout, but that we see discrimination as conscious hate when it’s bigger than that. Discrimination is a complex system of political levers set up generations ago to continue working on behalf of mainly rich, white men at other peoples expense, whether they know/like it or not. It is a system which prevents those we don’t consider to be the societal norm, whether it’s because of skin colour, ability, gender or sexuality from contributing and participating. We see discrimination as hate, such as shouting abuse but that’s just one manifestation, privilege is another as is access, apathy, ignorance and so on. It’s a system we are born into

I’ve worn one for horse riding, they’re much better than the solid alternative as they allow for more movement and are lighter. The downside is that it’s easy to trigger accidently and the price

It’s been harder to find smaller frames since 27.5″ and 29ers were introduced. I ride an old small Specialized hardtail with 26″ wheels and a 27″ f/s small Boardman. The old h/t is perfect in size with narrow bars and short reach which allows more freedom to move. The Boardman is a lot wider, longer and with a higher top tube, great for going in straight lines down hill but harder to control and balance round corners.
It’s for those reasons I’ve considered womens specific bikes, and the Bossnut looks the best for geometry and spec but it’s a bit pink and pastle. I’d rather find a good unisex small frame and build from there.
Let us know how you get on

Some thread wrapped around it is a good temporary measure and you can buy ring reducers for a few quid, but I think the best long term solution is pie and cake

Would you mind reporting this to the RHS for bio security please? I work in a forestry nursery and these beetles can cause a lot of damage to our future stock, which means more work and less riding!

Speaking of geek fests and the concept of time and relativity. Einstein published his Theory of Special Relativity in 1905 and uses an elevator as an example. I came across another of Lewis Carroll’s books called Sylvie and Bruno published in 1889. There’s this dialogue in it “”One can easily imagine a situation,” said Arthur, “where things would necessarily have no weight, relatively to each other, though each would have its usual weight, looked at by itself.” “Some desperate paradox!” said the Earl. “Tell us how it could be. We shall never guess it.” “Well, suppose this house, just as it is, placed a few billion miles above a planet, and with nothing else near enough to disturb it: of course it falls to the planet?” The Earl nodded. “Of course though it might take some centuries to do it. “And is five-o’clock-tea to be going on all the while?” said Lady Muriel. “That, and other things,” said Arthur. “The inhabitants would live their lives, grow up and die, and still the house would be falling, falling, falling! But now as to the relative weight of things. Nothing can be heavy, you know, except by trying to fall, and being prevented from doing so. You all grant that?” We all granted that. “Well, now, if I take this book, and hold it out at arm’s length, of course I feel its weight. It is trying to fall, and I prevent it. And, if I let go, it fails to the floor. But, if we were all falling together, it couldn’t be trying to fall any quicker, you know: for, if I let go, what more could it do than fall? And, as my hand would be falling too—at the same rate—it would never leave it, for that would be to get ahead of it in the race. And it could never overtake the failing floor!””

Nigeria’s quite an interesting country with a rich history, maybe not somewhere you’d go for the beaches but the people are friendly. The gun laws are stricter than their health and safety, guns are only licensed for sport but you don’t need an mot for your car to take to the roads outside Lagos. The police are corrupt but the armed robbers are generally alright, they even give receipts

There’s loads of character and theme references to Alice Though The Looking Glass and to Lewis Carroll throughout the film. He was also a mathematician and had an interest in symbolic logic, he wrote 11 books on maths, all of which totally scramble your mind.
Although the author in the film is fictional, there’s some element of truth in the murder narrative in that Lewis Carroll was a suspect in the Jack the Ripper murders

It’s a myth that people on the autism spectrum lack empathy, it’s more likely that agnosia prevents them from being able to judge the emotions being expressed at the time.
I wouldn’t go labeling the girl, there’s been some big changes in her life and she needs security and guidance. It may help if you also sought professional advice or counselling so that you have the skills to give her the appropriate guidance and deal with her behaviour. There’s a helpline you can call https://www.children1st.org.uk/help-for-families/parentline-scotland/
