I tend to end up putting them on too late (like still not replaced on my bikes yet) and remove them too late when trails and roads are dusty and dry!

Ok so if I take on the renovation project where or how is the best place to re spray. As my pics show quite a bit of frame damage! Obviously will need new decals at the end.

Going back to gears will cost … Was originally Alivo shimano with twist grip shifters.

Notice some of the pics with flat bars and p2 forks give quite a steep front forward riding position. Don’t really want front suspension forks as it spoils the looks in my opinion. I do many road miles now so this more aggressive racing position may not be as much as a problem as it sounds? I also want to stay with flat bars so again does not help riding position but keeps original look.

Not sure if it is a 17 inch frame or 18 inch frame? Is it the distance between bottom bracket and seat post meets top tube?

I am not that good with bike mechanics and also time is an issue so going LBS renovation has anybody got recommendations of who or how to do this and probable rough cost?

£80 is what you pay at the LBS I am afraid…tried 3 and they were all within £1 of each other…

Pro4 Endurance are looking pretty good for me thus far…

soul or simple or Bfe?

Plus i have always lusted after a Coctic Soul! I had an old cindercone (as above) with gears and recently SS and loved the single track feel of them. The klien is a good bike but does not quite have the same feel or am I looking for Rose tinted glasses!

Well my high weight (14 stone) and low fitness have a lot to do with it 😀

The Pro4s I have are the folding endurance type…I bought them from a LBS so may expalin the hefty price tag of £40 each or £80 per pair!

I have them now so will use them and I must admitt rifing to work today they felt Ok in the wet. I had one puncture thus far but this maybe because I used an old tube as I ran out of tubes when fitting them originalyl and had to steal a tube from my single speed!

Previously I had no complaints regarding GPS 4000s but just could not source them from the 3 LBS I rang the afternoon befoe the sportive once i discovered the rear tyre was pretty much shreaded…

I bought pro 4 endurance in the end and with some SIS go powder and a bottle cage came to £100!

The pro 4s were £40 each and I decided to buy 2 in the end

True BIgJohn but one split although small is all the way through…could risk it tomorrow and may get one puncture as rubber is thin or hastily buy new rubber for a tyre I don’t really want, that is the choice I guess

The double click does not work as the screen is locked due to message…

I did it via iTunes in the end due to forgetting iCloud password and being impatient in sorting that out. I lost some text history, had some old apps return which I deleted and don’t seem to have all calendar info in phone.

Thanks guys….I am a Toyota fan but looks like more votes for MX5… I had a Suzuki Cappucino but crashed it and wrote it off in the ice about 2 years ago. I really miss it!

I have a small space on my drive so length is a consideration.

I was looking at Figaros more for other half who only drives automatics and has a Nissan Micra already.

I am a little anti BMWs and guess they would be a higher insurance group. Also maybe more cash?
