Before you decide what method your going to use think about what you will do with the area once the kids have grown out of the playhouse. Will you want something easy to get up or will you use it as a patio or put a shed on it?

On Niners web site their sizing guide suggests a min height of 5' 3" for the carbon rigid bike.

The really important thing isn't what they are made of but that they all match. I would go for wood but don't want to throw away perfectly good plastic hangers.

Look at the Van Nicholas Zion Rohloff in belt drive and conventional drive and the belt drive appears to offer significant weight savings. I'm another Thorn / Rohloff owner who has no intention of going back to dérailleur's but I would like something that would reduce weight. I'm not too worried about the maintenance benefits as currently all I do is wipe the chain occasionally and reapply some GT85 and the last chain lasted 3 years before I decided on a precautionary change.

If you've done most of your running on the road just be aware that you can get problems with your ITB's if you start doing longer distances on uneven ground without building up to it. I found this to my cost last year when I went from 4 mile cross country runs straight to 8 with nothing in between. I had no fitness problems in doing that but started to get pains in the sides of my knee and a bit of internet research revealed that both uping distance too quickly and running on uneven surfaces were often the triggers for it. It seems to have calmed down now and hasn't affected my cycling so I'll probably give it another try once the evenings are lighter. There are stretches specifically to help with the problem as well.

I went for the doblo over the alternatives because all the info I could find pointed to them being more reliable. No getting away from the fact that your driving a van but I've been very happy with it for the last 2 1/2 years.

4 million is 0,004% of the budget.

    Well reduce it to 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000004%
and it will start to work. it' clearly to concentrated.Reduce the money and it will take on magical properties.

yes I'll take first refusal on that. daveatmmpproductionscouk Work can take the spam. As I say I'm in no rush as I've only just done a change so give snaps time to come back to you but I'll certainly have it if he doesn't want it.

I think your GP is not going to be a whole lot more help than us, as this is so specific. What about looking at finding a sports psychologist. They may have well have experience of just what your describing. I can't imagine many GP's have. And try a few runners forums as well.

My knees noticed a change from 170 to 165 but only on road sections not off road where your shifting around a lot more.

It's the inner caveman realising he's only just got away from that sabre tooth tiger and maybe he won't get so lucky next time.

I know that sounds pretty frivolous but the need for humans to run all goes back to pretty stressful situations such as hunting, which is dangerous and puts you at a high risk of injury or getting away from something hunting you. So maybe it's quite natural.

Try standing up as straight as you can. Now are your knuckles still on the floor. :-)

So I take it it's gone has it? Only did an oil change on Sunday so Won't be needing it for a while again but at that price I would have been intrested. It does seem crazy that you have to jump from 25ml to a litre buying it retail.

On the South Downs I reckon horses do more damage than bikes but neither can get close to what tractors do to some of the bridleways.

Thorn catalyst here with EBB fixed in place with two set screws and no problems at all with it in 31/2 years. Very quick and easy to adjust. I only retension the chain when it starts to fall off to prevent forming indents in the EBB itself too close together. I only weigh 60kg though and spin rather than grind. Heavier and more powerful riders may have different experiences. Most of the issues I've seen reported seem to be with wedge type EBB's rather than those with set screws. Personally I also think the EBB looks a lot better.

First one good made in the UK lasted for years second one outsourced to far east dead after a couple of years. May be one of thee few things where quality dropped when manufacturing moved abroad.

Bought a Sebo to replace it which are still made in Germany and it's what the guys in the shop all used at home and they sell Dysons and Miele as well. Cheaper than a Dyson as well.

Is it any good?, hold on i'll go and ask the wife.

I wasn't referring to your stupidity, on which I don't feel qualified to comment :-), rather the general belief that pharma looks for problems and then tries to find solutions. It doesn't. It tries things, sees what happens and then tries to find a problem for which the thing that happens might be a solution.

You clearly have no idea how the pharma industry works. It does not look for something that is needed and then aim to produce it. It test thousands upon thousands of molecules to find out what they do in the hope that they can find a reaction which might be favourable as a medicine. Viagra developed for example because they were working with molecules that showed evidence of dilating blood vessels and it was then trialled as a drug for angina. Patients in the trial however began to report interesting side effects and the whole focus changed.

And remember there are 2 disasters in drug development. Firstly you can produce something that kills people. Secondly you can produce something that cures people.

mudshark when I decide to buy ugly I buy the ugliest.

For those not impressed with the Berlingos fuel consumption we average over 50 on the Doblo which is mostly urban use. Doesn't really improve much with motorway driving though as it has the aerodynamics of a brick.

If you can't take a decent portrait with a 1.8 your not going to be able to do it with a 1.4.

I'd spend a lot more time thinking about what your trying to achieve and a lot less on what your going to do it with.

    I'm not convinced that:
"Mummy doesn't love daddy any more, but they stay together for tax reasons."
is the right message to give our children.

It's never too early to teach your children to be tax efficient.

Just come clean and tell them your not good enough for the private sector and you need a job in the public sector paid for by the tax payer where you'll never be held to account.

But if that's what you want surely you were born to be a banker.

Single here on their loosest setting. No problems with releasing when I don't want them too. I'd disagree with rootes 1 though as I couldn't believe how much easier it was to unclip after replacing old worn cleats with new ones.
