    Can I have it Cougar?

    I’ll forward it to you.

Oh and I seem to recall listening to something on Money Box a little while ago where ignoring these things had led to someone having credit problems as it flags up a non payment.

Bint, silly little bitch and window licker, all in one thread

And despite her being all those things she could still get a discount to enter a mountain bike race!

We looked at cycle to work a few years ago when I wanted to make use of it but concluded it was easier for the business just to buy a bike. I spoke at the time to the person running the scheme at Halfords and was told that was no problem but the company would be responsible for maintaining the bike in a safe condition. I therefore became bicycle safety officer.

So I would think your wife’s business would have the same obligation.

I hit the curb trying to get out of her way but she smashed my wing mirror.

You’ll want to allow fro the cost of checking and maybe re doing your tracking.

Eat first, but I can eat breakfast at any time.Even when I have to get up at 3 in the morning to catch a flight I still have breakfast at home and then maybe another one at the airport. When I was a postman many years ago I had one breakfast when I woke up and another after the first delivery.
I’ve never had a problem with eating before exercising, when I worked up in Shoeburyness I would stagger up from the table after eating the massive meals my landlady cooked walk to the local pool and swim a mile or two.

The economic genius Gordon Brown managed to sell vast amounts of the UK’s gold from 1999-2002 when prices were at a 20 year low and just before they rocketed up increasing in value 6 times over.
And apparently the Swiss, who are suppose to know about this sort of thing, sold even more of their gold unclaimed gold they had lying round since 1945 reserve around that time. No point crying over spilt milk blood eh ?

    a further small adjustment required

I reckon it’ll be so fast you’ll get to where you going before you leave.

Most people tend to spend more time climbing than descending so surely you’re only fastest for maybe 33% of the time

And you are the slowest when you are waiting at the bottom. Anyway if you ride with other people then assuming you all start at the same place, finish at the same place and wait at the end for the last rider before going home then your average speed is exactly the same as everyone else’s.

Basically this is how medieval philosophers understood the flight paths of projectiles, prior to Galileo.

I was explaining to the kids the other day how it is that if you simultaneously drop a bullet from one hand and fire another bullet from a gun held level and at the same height then the bullets will hit the ground at the same time.

Astonishingly well written when you consider English was Conrad’s 3rd language.

I think I read somewhere that Neil DeGrasse Tyson is presenting a remade/updated Cosmos – it’s going to have to go some to improve on the original is all I can say.

Listening to those 2 commentaries It would be like comparing Jeffrey Archer to Shakespeare. That is one of the finest 3 and half minutes of television ever made.

    Ed Moses

After breaking his own world record the following year, Moses lost to West Germany’s Harald Schmid on 26 August 1977 in Berlin, his fourth defeat in the 400 m hurdles. Beginning the next week, when he beat Schmid by 15 meters in Düsseldorf, Moses did not lose another race for nine years, nine months and nine days.
By the time American Danny Harris beat Moses in Madrid on June 4, 1987, Moses had won 122 consecutive races, set the world record two more times, won three World Cup titles, two World Championships, and earned his second Olympic gold medal in Los Angeles, where he was selected to take the Olympic Oath. After losing to Harris, he won 10 more races in a row, then finished third in the final 400 m race of his career at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. As of October 2011, he still holds 25 of the 100 fastest times in the 400 m hurdles

Topeak also do a bar-mounted bottle cage clamp]

That should come with chequered bottles with straws.

The wingnut is also a good option if you don’t like conventional packs.

My Sony camera stopped working with my eee pc netbook for no apparent reason. I can connect to anything else but not it. It sees it but says the card is not formatted and I’ve tried a couple of different cards with the same result.

Of all the developments since I bought my first mountain bike the one ” advance” that I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about is the threadless headset. Other than that it’s very nice but should have a twin stem for full retro points.

I haven’t listened to vinyl in years nor have I processed and printed film in years but there is no doubt that both involve a process that doesn’t exist when you go digital and which is very enjoyable in it’s own right.

    and use apporved parts

Parts only need to be of comparable quality, they do not have to be approved. I had a great conversation with a garage on behalf of a friend around this. I ended up getting the salesman to retract everything he’d claimed once I told him I’d take it all to trading standards and inform his boss that his staff didn’t know the law and were lying to customers.

So as more people go for a single ring set up at the front are the noticeable benefits of a stiffer BB less important?

As well as the 2 killers and the axe wielding maniac in our troop we also had one lad who ended up dead in a car crash a couple of years later and a suicide.

On a lighter note. I did save someones life, literally. I was walking through Salford and a kid ran into the road without looking, I grabbed his hood without thinking and yanked him back

I once pulled a friend back from under the wheels of a car and I only managed that because he’d just bought a new tyre for his bike and was wearing it diagonally over one shoulder. Sorry I can’t remember the tyre model but it was for his 10 speed Carlton.

Working in Prague this weekend. That Mamiya and Zenit are the only cameras I’ve ever used that have recoil, I’d get a tripod as well.

I should point out that only one of the 2 killers I shared that tent with was a homicidal psychopathic lunatic the other was just a suggestible idiot. It was fun being their patrol leader for a weeks camp.

On the same camp I also saw another lad lose his temper with someone and chase them round the site with a felling axe before hurling it at them. Luckily it’s quite hard to throw one accurately.

Cannondale Bad Boy Rohloff, not that they seem to make it any more, and in carbon with the option of a belt drive. I ride a rigid Rohloff bike in the winter and a geared hardtail in the summer. I commute off road all year round so I want something that needs as little maintenance as the rigid bike but with a bit of suspension for longer rides.

I shared a tent with 2 killers when I was in the Scouts. The pair of them went on to murder 3 people. They’d got away with the first one they smothered with a pillow and it was only when they did the same to a husband and wife that the first death was looked at again.

Replace the chainstays with a couple of remote dropper seatposts?

Yes but you link them to your dropper post in it’s usual place and as it drops down it pushes out the chainstays and as you raise it the chainstays shrink.

I’ve got UN 54 on one bike and can’t see any problem with them other than weight. The present on is on it’s second winter of off road commuting and the previous one lasted 3 years before becoming a bit rough. I think it’s a real pity there isn’t something between the UN55 and the likes of Royce. I’m sure plenty of people would be more than happy to see the return of the UN72.

I think my 86 Rockhopper had 18″ stays, it always felt very stable and comfortable. Front ends of course were a bit lighter back then even though the bars were probably the heaviest ever made.

got to admit I’m a little disappointed in mine… most of the pins on one pedal will not tighten up and are rattling… have emailed on one though will wait and see what they say can be done.

2 on mine won’t tighten fully so I’ve just used a bit of loctite. The problem is with the pins I think, the thread doesn’t run to the very top so you can wind them past their thread.

Well it’s actually just in Dorset but Lyme Regis is very nice. Plenty of holiday cottages and a nice sandy beach by the harbour and your little girl can go and find a dinosaur on the other beaches. Charmouth just along the coast has a good beach when the tides out as well. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the town as well.
