I have an idea for a web based product, nothing physical, more of an information site

Even if you protected it in this country what hope would you have in stopping it being copied and hosted in another country.

We had one for 8 or 9 years at work, it worked hard and never once broke down and was good to drive. The only downside is that you could watch it rust as you drove along.

    No, it’ll be fractionally stiffer.

Is this because the bending process will stretch one side of the bend while compressing the opposite side?

Mackem those bars seem to sweep forward rather than back. Am I imagining that or are you on to something no one else has thought of.

Would a flat bar made of the same material with the same tube thickness and the same width be more flexy than the equivalent riser bar?

Of course you yourself are a stranger to endless repetition. 🙂

Yes, but it only usually happens in very cold weather if it’s a hill right at the start of the ride and I ride up too quickly without having warmed up. I’ve had this for years and would get the same effect on cross country runs at school. 46 now and not dead yet so it’s probably ok.

Allways use as a bandage at work when i cut my hands bit o loo roll n gaffer!!! Waterproof and durable!!!!

I sliced a bit of my finger yesterday while putting a truss together but I chose the PVC over the gaffer tape as I find it moulds to the finger better and by stretching it you can get a bit more pressure on the cut.

After years of riding flat pedals off road I though I’d never change

After 20 years of SPD’s and toe clips for 5 years before that off road I thought I would never change but I have and I like it. I may use SPD’s again at some point but it won’t be exclusively. So give it a go as just like me you’ll never know what your missing till you try it.
As others have said over the years this is the right approach to all things in life with the exception of incest and country dancing.

in terms of tile construction we need to look at the wear surface of the tiles .

Does anyone else have a picture of trout in their head wearing a tank top and cords and presenting an open university programme early on a 1970’s Saturday morning while your waiting for swap shop to come on? 🙂

Sometimes crap images are what’s needed though. Historians learn a lot from what’s everyday junk at the time.

I meant decent in terms of interest rather than artistic quality.

The trouble in the future is that there will be so many images that it will be hard to wade through them all to find anything decent.

I can’t believe that no one has yet given the correct STW answer which is to keep it and but a new frame that it will fit. As well of course getting the correct post for the existing frame.

If the route is prone to headwinds then I’d want drops over flat bars. The mudguards and the rack are the most important thing though.

Would you, in that case, voluntarily use a smartphone app / pedometer / tracker if it’s cumulative readings could demonstrate your commitment to “look after yourself” and as such entitle you to a “fast track” Private heath care style tier version of the Public health care system?

Yes I’d strap my smartphone to a dog drive to the park kick it out and let it run around for an hour and shit wherever it wanted while I enjoyed a pint and a fag and then drive back home again to watch daytime tv.

Without reasonable hope of rescue as they can’t fly in during winter.

I listened to a talk by the doctor who was trapped at the polar base while treating herself for breast cancer and guiding a junior colleague while he performed surgery on her. Basically as she was briefed before she went it would be easier to rescue someone from the moon than the south pole in the middle of winter. Get your appendix whipped out if you are going. 🙂

We used to live opposite a flea market and there were often old photo albums from the 20’s through to the fifties in there. It was always sad to think that none of those people in the pictures had meant enough to someone to keep them.

We’ve a slot at the end of the run of cupboards which lines up with the wine rack above. That’s the rack for white wines as it’s next to the fridge.

Whether it’s wet or not, no mud guards on my bike. It would look ugly with them on:)

So after pretty much all the media blaming the ‘right’, turns out it was Islamic terrorists.

If you had the intelligence to be in intelligence you might realise that you might want to give your prime suspect the feeling that he can still move around freely and for example go to get his bike re sprayed rather than disappear for a while. And you might want the media to assist in giving that impression. As I said though that would be if you had the intelligence…

What I DO object to, is being commanded by various numpties to “pray” for the guy

I’m also an atheist but maybe it’s not about what you or I believe but about what the person you are being asked to pray for believes. If it helps them or their family then why not. If you knew someone in a very bad way whose beliefs meant that they would be given hope and comfort by knowing you were praying for them would you?

I am decorating in preparation for the builders coming on Monday to make the house open plan downstairs.

I am decorating because the builders have finished making downstairs open plan, well some of it anyway. Why would you decorate before they come in and make a mess?

At the end of the day, white balance is largely subjective

I worked as a photographer back in the days of film and within our establishment we did all our own developing and printing as well and I can confirm it’s a very subjective judgement. You’d never get all 5 photographers agreeing and even the section head who was colour blind had his own strongly held views on the subject.
