I was also lusting over a speedball, currently riding a mk2. Love the colour of the blue speedball & also that it has thru axles. Now I’ve looked at the mk4 spec, it looks like it has it all!! Damn

Got the bib shorts & they are very comfortable, good under baggy short.
As above, I originally ordered the 3/4 & they only just came past the knee so I sent them back.

for me, biggest & most dissapointing is saying he rode the comeback clean!
You saw it right, oldish guy keeping up with feather light spaniards, in the prime (prob on the juice as well).
if he admits that, then i think the respect would come back.

I have a 2004 burner, believe that was the last year for the 26″
Best handling bike I have had by far.
Toying with either a Burner 650b or Sultan upgrade?

Blown away by this setup, no fuss, gearing fine for climbing in wales & not dropped the chain once.

The frame in the pic looks like a drawing/render.
May explain the unrealistic gap between top & down tube.

    Thanks mikewsmith.
So to clarify, if I remove the 20mm spacer, travel will change from 120 to 100mm but the A2C will remain the same?

Yes they do & yes you can clearly see it’s the light from the flash.
On a positive note, looks great & I’d love a go on that.

Certainly is not mincey – its probably as good as you are going to get for a 26″ ti.
Current trends aside, its a bloody lovely thing.

Daveb, I have one that I may be selling as have got to trim down the collection!
Bought the frame on here for £500 early last year but it is in good condition.
You normally get more for the bits if you break it down.
Let me know how you get on.

Goldigger, Sunday morning ride sounds good.
May only have a limited time window as have plans on the day.
What time & how long a ride are you thinking?
Are makkag & creepy up for it also?

Makkag, Goldigger & creepy – another local here in chipperfield.
Very keen to meet up for some local rides, have been here for couple of years & still trying to firm up some loops. Through the woods & down the valley behind bucks hill, drop onto the canal & then a little play in whippy is as good as I’ve got so far. Got a garmin for crimbo so it’s my mission to fully explore this year out & beyond local trails.
Will be sure to drop you a line, mail in profile!
