Just checked lever, no notch for bearing which seems odd, remote topcap has one. A call to Mojo in the morning will hopefully sort me out.

Mountain on IOS is a great arty piece, wouldn’t know that I’d call it a game but a beautiful thing to leave running while you do other stuff.

Ultegra cassette is usually better value than XT. Going tubeless is the best money I’ve ever spent on bike parts. You’ll need a track pump or (reccomended) a CO2 cartridge to fit it though so it adds to the cost a bit. Got Quaxar discs for mine, about 70 grams for 180mm and less than 20 quid from XCracer. Ditched my front mech and shifter before even riding my new bike and haven’t felt the need for a narrow wide ring as I’ve not dropped a chain yet. Superstar are doing them for 25 quid if you feel the need.

As predicted, here’s the bloke who will say you’re talking nonsense when you say they are all the same. Buy an Audioquest Pearl for 25 quid and do a picture comparison with the pound shop one and then tell me they’re all the same.

Have a Montane, sorry can’t remember the name but I thunk it had ‘extreme’ in the title. Smock design with chest pocket vents and vents down the side and detatchable hood. Also has a removable crotch strap that can be used to stop it riding up. Got it mainly as a winter hiking and climbing jacket but does sterling work for biking as well.

I got a Toppeak Redlite Mega as I wanted one to run off AAA’s as I do multi-day rides. Not really a money no object option but plenty bright enough. Noticed that cars give me a wider berth than with my old one.

Do you need a rechargeable or one that can run on AA’s AAA’s?

Already thrown the tools. Was expecting to have to put the bike together and adjust, angry about losing the grips though.

I blame Scott, they put it together before shipping and the shop had nothing to do with the misleading spec, lack of information or incorrect tools.
If I were writing for the Mail I would have titled it “Scott Mountain Bikes can Cure Cancer” or implied what a terrible BELGIAN company Scott is.

Got it from shop on the web, have emailed to express my disgust but didn’t really want to go mental at them as they sorted me a great deal when they didn’t have what I originally ordered. They obviously just took it straight from their courier and gave it to mine without opening the box.

Tried Sorbothanes but they filled my shoes too much to be comfortable. Thicker socks sorted the problem for me.

Yeah, thats exactly the kind of thing.Unlucky for me I’ll be getting an X-fusion fork. Was hoping there was a more generic solution available. Perhaps I’ll gat a 9mm convertor thingy and use a halo hex key skewer. Thanks for the effort and the introduction to that website, my wallet is very afraid.

Can’t really go wrong with Yamaha recievers, just check the in/outputs as things are changing rapidly at the moment and you want a bit of future proofing. As mentioned by ricdiggle, the bose kit may have some strange connections but you can always cut these off and use bare wire.

Weight saving can be quite big if you use Stan’s rims as you can mount regular tyres tubless with this system. Been running Crest rims for about 2 years now and I’m never going back to tubes, not having to grub around in the mud and wet with tyre levers is the biggest bonus. Tyre do feel different at first, I thought that mine were flat for a time but soon got used to it. Make sure you have a track pump or compressor for fitting. It’s also worth buying spare sealant and rim tape as these are the parts that get used up in the faff of fitting.

Loft insulation isn’t really useful as sound insulation, making it thicker will make almost no difference for this purpose. It will of course, make your house warmer so I say get the thicker stuff if you’re doing it.

Cheers, just spent about an hour trying to force the thing in, gave up and ordered the tool.

Been diabetic for about 30 years now and I still eat cakes. The medical tech today makes handling it so much easier than it used to be so don’t worry to much. The skin problem could well be to do with high blood sugar. Haven’t used them for years but check out the British Diabetic Associaton as they can give much better advice than me. The amount of help you can get through your GP is also large.

ODI Rogues are soft and thicker than most, use these on my hardtail and find them great on big days out.

Didn’t like the Speed Kings as they just didn’t grip enough and wore out very quickly. If you can run tubeless then you should as they puncture very easily.

While you’re on the Superstar site checking out the Nanos, look at there Mags and Ultra Mags. Had the Ultras for a year and they are the best flattie I’ve had. Big, spin smoothly and check the weight, which according to my scales is actually correct.

Had a similar problem and solved it with ODI Rouge grips. They’re fatter and softer than most.

Must be the pre boiled as you’ll have boiled away some of the impurities that can raise the temp needed to boil it.

Wouldn’t normaly consider them, but am very tempted by those new microshift thumbies, but only because they’re the only thumbies available.

Not quite sure what you’re asking, I think what you need to know is that the chain should be on the smallest cog on the rear cassette when you clamp it. Check the park tools website for really great repair info.

Best way of making stuff sound better through itunes is to use a non compressed format. Use lossless when ripping your CDs, the better quality signal that goes into the system the better will come out the other end. If this is going to be your main source you should upgrade your sound card. Best to buy a speaker package, as if you mix types or brands they will have different tonal qualities. Budget for decent cabling as well.

Great lights, terrible mounts. Wide angle will be good as you’ll still have some vision when it’s shining on your front tyre through the bumpy bits. Anyone come up with a good mod to sort this?

OMM Kamleika here, best waterproof I’ve owned. The thumb loops make all the difference.
