Not an issue for small amounts over the speed limit based on my knowledge.

The main issue is when you get done at 20 kph the motorway speed limit – at which point they take your license off you and there are all sorts of issues with local courts etc. If you a doing serious speeds they can impound the car.

had the same problem – a bit like the spring isn't strong enough – but after 3-4 rides it has eased up and is now working fine

Did a similar trip recently, as a group we thought penmachno was excellent and didn't really feel like a trail centre, llandegla black was very good fun despite its rep and Marin was woefully dull apart from the last 5 minutes but wasn't worth the slog.

PlumzRichard – yep that sounds right – practically no compression until you hit the inertia value and then the damping and rebound feels uncontrolled. Also the brain dial moves a lot less.

Went through 5 shocks on my ’08 Epic expert – its not a “batch” issue, its a design problem which they now seem to have sorted. Specialized Uk sorted my last shock at Christmas and it has lasted since (previously they were lasting less than 100 miles) – involves replacing parts of the shock – the sorted versions have a yellow/red sticker near te rebound control.
