Yes you really should have one tap bypassing the softener. Usually the kitchen cold tap.
If you live in a very hard water area like I do (Lincolnshire) then the softened water really does have a lot of salt added. Not good for drinking.

At school (to get out of Religious Assembly) me and my mates were responsible for sorting out all the newspapers and magazines donated to us to sell on for recycling. There was tonnes of it collected each term, with regular finds of grumble. Whoever was donating it knew it was going to our school so I reckon they were doing it as an educational service (which it was!)

    Ah! Fixed photo now.

    Don’t think it’s a rotor screw – too small. only 7-8mm long

Neurosis – “Stones From The Sky”, last track on the “A Sun That Never Sets” album.
Engineered (not produced) by Steve Albini,
I love the sound of this album, and was genuinely staggered when I heard the last track for the first time. I thought there was something wrong with my copy, but no, EVERYTHING goes into the red at the end and gets completely F’d up.

Also most things Steve Albini does have a great and distinctive sound

I renewed at the offer price as I have 50k of photos from the last 15 years or so, all backed up and also on a separate hard drive.
Yes I do need to prune them but i think it’s a good option and good value till I get round to pruning.

You could change it to Horribly Charred Infant which would be related but still puerile.

18bikes – very pleased with my custom hardtail from a few years back, good to deal with and good value i thought.

If you’re intersted in a 26er ti spaceframe and truss fork let me know. It was built by Jeff and I seem to remember has a lifetime warranty though that may just be in an email to me…

I run it as 26×2.4 at the back, 27.5×3 at the front

12 years old though… no signs of failure yet!

Not sure where you are – North? Try Matt at 18bikes – I am so pleased with my custom hardtail from him.

I just put 29×2.6 Nobby Nics on my hardtail. No bigger really than the Ardent 2.4s I had which is disappointing. They may stretch a bit. Haven’t ridden them yet.

Front rim is Velocity Dually, rear is Velocity P35.

Takes about 30 minutes to completely peg out and tension. I’m never in a rush though. Sleeps two easily but normally only one in ours.

Yes, we got one a year ago for our T25. Pretty good,  packs up small. Set up is critical, we haven’t always managed to get the awning part taut enough. A struggle to get the poles in the tent pockets the first couple of times. There’s been some development since ours so may be better now.  A great idea though and generally does what it says on their website.

RIchmars – good choice! I’m trying to find a 42S. Becoming a bit of a collector which is worrying – got 15 so far…

Emusic for me – 42p a track , especially good for searching out these albums with only a few (or just one) very long tracks on them.
Good regular discounts on buying credit as well. Maybe that’s a sign it’s doomed!

I’m very happy with the tyre profile with the Blunt SL which is 20mm internal. Can’t remember the Arch Ex width.

Standard for me. Will go extralight when current ones wear out. No sign of that yet.

I’ve got the Babyshoe Pass 650×42 on my road bike and i’m running them tubeless. Had them about a year.

They are great tyres full stop. I do need to top up the air regularly, say every two weeks but that may be the rims i’m running and my setup, a Stans Arch EX and a Velocity Blunt SL. Newer compass tyres are tubeless compatible.

Adding to Martinh comments – Nearly 12 years on my ti space frame and it hasn’t snapped yet! I’ve had two steel diamond frames and now also have a diamond 29 plus.

My favourite is the original ti spaceframe for nimbleness and perfect fit for me. I don’t have huge amount of miles on the plus but so far it’s less nimble more plough over everything. If i was really going to do incredible distances fully loaded then I’m sure it would be perfect. For my South Downs riding with the odd jaunt to the Yorkshire Dales less so
I wasn’t surprised when the Plus SWB was announced and I’ll probably start saving for the ti space frame version of that.
It does sound like an ideal middle point – able to run 29er standard wheels and 27.5 x 3 wheels if needed.

I’ve also got an Autohomes Kamper with the rigid pop top lie Spectabilis. ’83 watercooled petrol. The roof is an awkward design but gives so much room.
It’s plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, but an awning or awning tent helps.
They’re not an investment and you have to accept that there are more than usual running costs but they’re good fun, and there’s a definite camaraderie with other owners.
We take ours away at weekends and on our main summer holiday every year.
Second Club80-90 for good solid advice.

I’ve had a Lamy 2000 pencil for a few years now, very nice, simple design, just about in your price range. Matches my other Lamy 2000 pens of which the four colour ballpoint is the most used.

Looks very nice that set up.
The website doesn’t say but I assume at that price for a ti frame, it’s made overseas, designed in the UK?

Depending what size you need, Sticker Pig on Facebook might be good.
I’ve been meaning to get some from him for ages for my camper van.
