    Hi @yourguitarhero
    It’s a PedalPCB Parentheses Fuzz –
    https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/parentheses-fuzz/

Octave Fuzz, RAT and Boost all in combination and it is pretty evil!
Not a difficult build but I built the two Coda Effects ones first to get my hand in.
Hand painted by my daughter – a Death’s Head Hawk-Moth apparently.

    Hi @eddiebaby

Thanks – useful info. I was maybe planning to swap one for the other but as complement could be even better!
I do like the look of that APE pedal.

My pedalboard is a mess but I keep trying out different combos:

    GT1000core
    Cheapo expression pedal for volume
    Boss Looper
    Behringer Super Fuzz
    Homemade EQD/Sunn O))) Life Pedal
Homemade Coda Effects OECD and Black Hole Doom Machine

The GT1000core PSU powers all of these pedals with some daisy chaining.

Hi @eddiebaby how does the GT1000core compare to the Plethora x5? You still got that?
I’m thinking of getting an X5, I have the GT1000core already but possibly looking for something simpler for my modulation pedals. Have external drives a plenty.

Well mine arrived over the weekend – looks even better in the flesh and looks like a really good read, or just to browse the photos!

I went from 20″ to 17″ VW original wheels – so much better ride quality on rough roads, especially noticeable with people in the back.
Also the speedo reads right now!
Not bothered about the loss of bling.

I’m just north of Lincoln, will keep an eye out.
    Rotten luck though.

Didn’t pay anything like full price for Helinox, and didn’t see it on FB!

I’m a convert to Helinox chairs. Light, comfortable, portable, repairable, reassuringly expensive. Bought two of the “Chair Two” in Mondrian colours. Bloody lovely!

Being dim here but if the iPhone is in Airplane mode does it still track your position on the map?
Or do you use it like a paper map and figure out where you are from where you last where!
I use OS Maps on my iPhone but it really burns through the battery.

I’ve been pondering this in too much depth recently.
Favourite so far is the Marantz PM7000N – does all I think you need I think plus turntable connection.
    £900 ish looking around.

Thanks – I hadn’t thought of spindle washers. Have ordered some!

    Atomizer

Yes includes the wavy washer though it looks less wavy than it used to!
Might have to add another spacer and hope the inner sleeve doesn’t come adrift

    Cheers

Those Leak units look really nice and a sort of compact width. Wanting to upgrade my hifi but it works just fine with an Airport Express for Airplay 2 streaming and Pro-Ject phono box for vinyl and cassette ripping.

Alphabetical of course with PJ Harvey under H, not by genre!
Habitat bookshelf x 2 with speakers somewhere higher up out of shot.
Thirty year old hifi cabinet, can’t bear to get rid of it and we have the space at the moment.

I made a new pedal – Parentheses Fuzz which is a copy of the EarthQuaker Devices Life Pedal.

Daughter did a short video which show my current setup as she painted the pedal.
Steinberger ZT3 – I am a huge Vito Bratta fan and always wanted a headless guitar.
Blackstar 1W amp – may move one day to the 5w.
Boss GT1000 core – still figuring this out
    Behringer SF300 Hyper Fuzz clone
    Boss looper pedal

    Here’s my Faran.
Bought frameset, added various new and old bits from existing bikes – Paul Klampers, old Ultegra and Dura Ace 9 speed, Middleburn chainset, SON dynamo hub and lights, plus a nice Acorn rando bag.
Not light but does the job for me. Nicely thought out details though running dynamo wires round BB was not easy. Would be better with a T47 BB really.
Going to try and fit Ultegra Di2 mechanical shifters and gears in a couple of weeks.

Also Dad worked for a pig food manufacturer so sick to death of eating pork and bacon.

Last camper was Jethro because we bought him from the West Country.
New one is Poppy because red
Others current cars are Ruby again red and Elsa because same colour as her dress
Previous car was Betty because Of the Ram Jam song
Previous to that was Harry White because friend of my daughter.
Bit random but all have names!
Best one was a friend’s car called Sean because number plate started with SH66 …

I’m on a Mac as well. All photos and music are on one external drive. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to back this up daily to a second external drive and weekly to a NAS.
Also use Backblaze to continually back up both external drives and the Mac drive to the cloud.
Backblaze is good as you can have multiple drives backed up.
Also have all photos stored on iCloud.

    I’m 5’10” and got a 56cm. Fits me fine.
However I’m going to sell the frameset if you’re interested, one year old in grey…

Looks like I’m going to have to try something out in real shop!

Also reading reports that the KAF LSX doesn’t play nice with a mesh network which is what I have to get wifi round the whole house.

Good points all. I have seen the Darko video but will watch again now.
I am still tempted by a one box and speakers.
Either eBay or post xmas sales I reckon.
And Drp – I used to be in West Sussex ’til last year, thanks for the offer though.

I bought a medium Flaremax after all the wavering at the start of this thread. 4145g straight out of the box, including shock, rear axle, seat clamp and dropper cable outer. And paint!
This is using my Amazon special fishing scales.
Still building it up so no idea on final weight. May get it finished this weekend though.

I’ve had just about all the types over the years and have settled on the SWB Plus spaceframe. Never had a problem with 3.0 tyres and chainline though. Maybe the SWB is a bit better than the LWB?

All sounds like good info and advice to me. Basically a kilo or so heavier than the carbon standard. So 1% of total bike and rider weight. Finger hovering over the buy button!

Thanks all – my rigid 27.5×3.0 bike is 32lb or so – a few more pounds for the benefits may be worth it. And yes even if I could go fast on the flat i’d use a different bike!

I’d love a Curta – it would go with my modest collection of Hewlett Packard calculators and slide rules.
And I also found Curta through William Gibson’s Pattern Recognition!
