Get a cabin with an enclosed porch like in the front page and take a tarp to put the bikes on – that’s what we do.

I had to go to the doctor’s with hand pain. Doctor told me I had to stop masturbating. I asked why. She said, “because I’m trying to examine you”. 😀

I ride a Stereo 120 18″. I am 5’10”. I tried the 20″ but found the standover too high. The 18″ is shortish but you get used too it although there are times, say blasting along flat track, I wish it were 20mm longer (and NO, I am not fitting a longer stem, it’s already 70mm)

Go on then folks, persuade me to take out a premier subscription to STW instead rather than rely on the free stuff of their excellent website.

I run a SRAM chain on 1×11 XT no problem. And I take it off regularly to clean. Link not as snappy but never failed.

I have had a 120 carbon for over 2 years now in a medium. Find the reach a bit short but a large was too high for my short legs. Wish the head angle was a little steeper and I wish now that I had bought the 140. But it is super light, rides fast and climbs well.

40 odd years ago when I was 12 I had a Raleigh Olympus road bike on which I swapped the handlebars for some wide ‘cow horns’ and used it to ride around the local slag heaps and woods of Wigan.

Does this qualify me as a MTB pioneer? 🙂

Somebody once told ne SRAM chains were directional i.e. only work properly one way around! I haven’t had any problems with my SRAM chain but may be worth a try.

I find ‘in stock’ generally means in stock at the distributors and not at the shop, so they have to wait for it to be sent to them first.

I’m running an XT 11-42 cassette with an On-One 45 cog (cos I’m a wuss) and a 32 tooth Superstar oval front. Works for me.

Because of my weird body shape of short legs and long body I find large frames too high but medium frames too short so I opt for medium as I am on the cusp of medium/large frames. A long stem compensates for this but handling isn’t as good as a shorter one.

I am currently using a fixed layback post and find the position perfect with the shorter stem which has improved the front end handling. However I miss my dropper (was a Reverb).

There are other droppers but none with a layback I need that the Command Post has.

    Thanks guys.

Had a van on last job which was great & previous car had a towbar and I still have bike rack for that but new car will be bloody expensive to have a towbar fitted if lease company will even let me.

Anyone tried an Atera GIRO AF+ ?

NPower sent me a bill for over a £1000 for the last 7 years I have lived in my house. Thing is, I’ve always been with Scottish Power. Phoned them & told them.

Received a letter today from them saying they are cancelling any bills over 12 months old. Phoned them again.

    ….awaits next bill….

I have a 7 seat NV200 Combi – company car (my choice). They wouldn’t let me have a van.

Taken back seats out, folded middle row up and box lined it.

Underpowered, uncomfortable on long drives but cheap-ish tax.

    Fckin brilliant. DO NOT MISS.

I’ve seen them 6 times now doing JD stuff and just find it absolutely brilliant that I can go hear these fantastic songs live; only got to see JD twice. 🙁

Never liked NO…actually, never like Barnie’s ‘singing’ so in 2 minds to go see Hookie do NO albums.

I had gap insurance, got it off t’internet. When my car got written off (not my fault, honest) it certainly helped pay some of difference between car insurance company pay-out and actual cost of car – this is what you need to check with the gap insurer, how much they actually think your car is worth, They don’t pay you upto what you paid for car if it is greater than what they value it at.

But, on the whole, worth it if your car is written off.
