Looking at both these brands they look really good. However, I want new and I’m on a budget of £30 which always makes it more difficult.

What cheaper bags are great value for money and great for the trail.

If I can confirm the large will fit il take it following that link. Does anyone know how the whytes size up, I’m 6ft 2? I looked on whyte size chart and it seems really close between large and extra large

Great comments. I currently have a 2008 rockhopper pro which has done me well. But these whytes seem pretty darn good, I reckon I will probably go with the 901 purely for the price.

I normally keep my bikes for a good few years so upgrades are always a possibility later on.

901 2011 currently pricing at £900 ish and the 2012 bout £1100. Doesn’t looks a fat lot of difference between the two

I just spoke with TFT tuned over the forks they said that top out is just something these forks do, so he advised removing all air out and just using on the coil. So il give that a go.

Oh ok fine. What air pressure do you use in which leg as I am trying to set these up? I currently got them set up with no air just on the coil.

I now believe it is impossible, as the lens in raised and would not fit the same, ahh well – put it back up for sale and get a new one. Thanks anyway.

Hi, thanks for all the responses, yes it is an older Marin 2004 with the quick release shock. When i move the quick release to its furthest point the shock performs fine, doesnt bottom out. But when i move it so its closer and the shock compresses more it bottoms out off a 1 foot drop.

Yeh, you have to move internal spacers

    Thanks,

I am currently riding the Marz 03 on a 2006 marin wolf ridge, i saw a decent offer on the rock shox for 100 but wondered which would better suit, i do a fair bit of trail riding

2004 Fox Vanilla forks – 125RL, I think to replace crown/ steerer would be too expensive.

Fox shox with an eye to eye of 185mm are hard to come by. Idealy i would love an RP2/3 or Fox float R but rthey dont make them anymore for this size and havre to rely on ebay so i am having to look for others

so if i got a 190mm for instance tft should be able to resize it?

Guys from ATB said it would bend into the seatpost mess up the geometry.

i should be able to get a fox vanilla coil shock without the compresion chamber on, how would this be on this frame/setup?

Thanks both, iv spoken with TFT, Fox are releasing a new batch of 185mm rp3 in a month, price at £340 :P

    The 190mm wont fit.
