Its just been used, I have big feet so rubbing the crank arms and the frame was always going to be a given, i agree with the chain rattle bit dissapointed with that. But still doesn’t effect performance of bike, even saying that i still think the price im selling at is a good price. Offers around 700. Just needed to promote the bike better

It wasn’t ex demo, it was a new build

The seat is down due to it coming in and out of my car. Also reduce the seat height depending what riding I’m doing

It is a beautiful bike, feels so good to ride and if these bike arent classed as desirable they should be. I know the spec on this model is higher than a standard whyte 905 as it was custom built by Atb, replaced rock shox with fox forks, elixir brakes instead of juicy 5, and xt drivetrain instead of Slx. I just hope somebody does want it,it’s a shame to have it just sit in the garage.

I am 6ft 1.5 and 33 inside leg, would an 18inch 06 orange five fit? I sat on the 2012 model in 18 yesterday and it fitted nice.

Maybe better suited with a patriot then, reading some reviews and they seem to cover the whole lot

I was under the orange five would be all mountain and the patriot downhill, is this correct?

I suppose my ask is can you use both for little xc use or is the one better than the other?

    A troll?!?! Nice :D

My mate rides an orange crush which is a pretty decent bike but I just fancy a change from a hardtail, especially to get over the techy rockie bits a bit faster without my arms collapsing.

I think holding out for a swap may be the wrong idea, for sale may be my way forward – only issue then is to decide what to get?

Theres gotto be a top five in this list for what I need

I have been offered a Giant trance x2 for trade to my Whyte 905 would that do the job or am better holding out?

I was originally looking for a orange 5 only because I saw a lot of them at trail centres, but now looking through some of these has given me a decent list.

Just gota hope someone buys my whyte or wants to swap

Catered to my riding. Like to do around 3-4 foot drops, decent size gaps, jumps. Like to cover around 20 to 30 miles xc

Ok I thought the same, just finding it hard to come across a used 36 hole shimano lock hub

Ok great – how about the chainline? would it hurt to have a 56mm chainline only going to have a single cog?

    Nah, thy were manitou stance.

Got some more forks 2009 Marz 160mm now, ditching the manitou

    astura

It’s about 10mm out, the Marz is 546mm, the alternate models which came as standard are Stance kingpin 540mm, and the junior t 555mm, not to clued up on what that means, is that ok?

Cheers – Got a Whyte 905 2010 model with fox f120rl, any idea of general strength of these also?

Been using it for mainly trail centres but have been over the freeride park with it and so far so good, but it is light as a feather!!

I know a lot depends on the rider but its nice to know what to push it to, if i do have a bad landing
