@rockbus I quite like the iPad app Djay, it’s cheap and I find using my iPad more tactile than the laptop.

Back on topic but at the moment I’ve got an old Vestax VCI300 at the moment which has served me well but I’ve got a Pioneer DDJ FLX10 on preorder, should be here at the end of the month.  Looking forward to having 4 channels to try and be more creative.

The stashed space rail is very high quality but the length of rail you get is incredibly stingy, I ordered the kit to suit 4 bikes, I’ve got 2 mountain bikes, a gravel bike and a road bike on there and there is just no space between them.

They advertise it as you being able to rotate the bikes while hung but in my experience because they’re so close together if you try and spin a bike that’s one of the middle two the wheel that’s hanging on the hook will catch the empty hook on the end or the bike next to it.

It is nice being able to bunch them close together to chain them up and to a wall anchor though.

I moved house last year and thought I would treat myself to the stashed space rail and to be honest I’ve been pretty disappointed with it, certainly not worth the money IMO.

We get our coffee beans from rave coffee but if we get caught out and haven’t ordered a new bag we always go for lavazza rossa in the supermarket, they’re cheap and they always make a nice coffee.

Yesterday for me, got to mallards pike in the Forest of Dean, go to change gear when pulling away from the car and the bolt that holds the shifter to the brake lever sheared off.

Went to both local shops and they had no suitable bolts so had to drive home again.

I’ve also got a Kask Rex which is super comfortable but not as well vented as it looks.

I bought one of these in the non mips variety for commuting and I’m really impressed with it, really comfortable, well ventilated and feels really well made. Mine came with a really thick bag and an extra set of pads too. https://www.stifmtb.com/collections/open-face-helmets/products/sweet-protection-dissenter-mips-helmets-matte-white

After reading this thread a couple of weeks back I ordered two of the chaintamer devices mentioned on page 1. Only used the one fitted to my hard tail so far and its done a great job of reducing chain slap.

Haven’t had a chance to try my full suspension with it fitted yet but it works so well on the hard tail I’m going to order another for my gravel bike.

In 2010 I won a trip to Scotland through MBUK, we had an apartment in Innerleithen for 2 nights and a meal at the Glentress hotel, great weekend and my first time riding there.

They’re a bit expensive but I really rate my 100% airmatic shorts, They’re just baggy enough to go over knee pads.

No the Capra is an enduro bike, if you want something with similar geo but less travel have a look at the jeffsy.

A 65 degree head angle is pretty normal these days on trail bikes.

Depending on what size you need you can get a yt Capra for just shy of £2k

Oh ok, yeah it’s totally fine at manualling between rollers and getting the front wheel up and over stuff.

I’m 5’7 with short legs so you might want to go up a size but you’re welcome to try it.

I can’t manual but it is quite lively and poppy but with the slack head angle it works well when the trail gets steep.

I’ve got a 2018 scout which is the same frame as the 2019 model.

I love it, it’s really fun, lively and surprisingly capable. Its definitely not the lightest bike out there but I didn’t build it to be light.

I’ve certainly not noticed any wallow from the rear shock, I had a luftkappe fitted to the forks to get them feeling how I wanted but the shock has always felt great to me.

I’ve got a medium and am in Bristol if you wanted to swing a leg over it.

Pre tree felling I would have said cafal, that used to be my favourite trail centre trail, as it stands now I’d say go for the twrch, it’s got a tough climb but the descent is worth it.

My local Tesco are currently sold out of my usual oatly barista so I tried some good hemp barista seed milk and it’s absolutely disgusting, really thin and made my morning cappuccino bitter.

Gave it a second go today and it was just as bad, so tomorrow I’m going to try steaming the normal oatly.

Malvern rider, not tried creamy oat but I will do now, thanks 👍

I gave up cows milk about 18 months ago, tried all sorts of non dairy and my favourite is oatly, it’s the closest in taste and texture to milk although I do like Alpro hazelnut in my porridge every now and again.

For coffee I use oatly barista, it seems a bit thicker than the standard stuff but it is expensive.

I went from Fox launch pros to Daniese trail skin’s and I’m glad I did, really comfortable and airy but the material feels a little delicate.

I’ve got a single nest camera watching my garage, really impressed with the quality of the footage, especially the night vision.

I think the subscription is £40 a year which is annoying after forking out for the camera and a Wifi extender to get it to reach but it’s less than a pound a week.

I went for the nest camera over the Arlo system because it is hard wired.

I have had to turn off the notifications though as even though it’s advertised as having state of the art technology that can detect people from other objects it can’t and I was getting bombarded with notifications.

I’m having the same issue, picked up my new car this week and I’m sick of putting bikes on the roof so bought a velospace xt2.

Initially couldn’t get it to lock into position but with the dial set all the way to minus and a bit of wiggling I eventually managed to get the handle on the carrier to go all the way down and it seems sturdy.

How about a seat? I’ve just ordered an Arona.

Interior is really nice and it’s surprising how much kit you get as standard.

They’re also doing 0% pcp for 4 years at the moment.

Another vote for peatys sealant, utterly useless at sealing even the smallest of holes but it is good at staining your clothes and making a mess of your bike.

Yep, been playing on PS4 for a couple of weeks now and it’s brilliant, best playing battlefield game yet. Hit level 50 over the weekend, according to battlefieldtracker I’ve already played for 1 day and 20 hours!

2018 scout owner here, what a great bike it is, as others have said it’s a little overweight but I don’t notice it when riding. Went from an orange alpine 160 to the scout and I find it better in every way to be honest.

I built mine from frame only as I don’t like sram and wanted to build it to my spec and not have to change anything for a long time. The frame came with some foam tubing to push over the internal cables to stop any rattles which has worked well. The external brake routing for the rear is a good touch too.

if I could figure out how to post a picture I would.

Yep, big fan here, their albums are brilliant and the downloadable mixes from their website are fantastic particularly the summer multi genre ones.

Yep I’ve got an Emma mattress, it is quite soft but I bought an ikea bed frame at the same time and the slats are adjustable so on my side I’ve made it as firm as possible and it’s very comfortable.

Bought some fox indicator trousers at the start of the year, only worn them maybe 4-5 times but they’re great, really good fit, not too baggy but can still fit knee pads underneath, snug around the calf and ankle so they don’t get caught in the chainring but they are a bit expensive.

Bought myself an Emma mattress about 6 months ago and i can’t recommend it enough.

Delivery was really quick and they had £100 off at the time so the price was really competitive.

I recently bought a pro viz 360+ jacket for commuting duties. I have to say the cut isn’t the best and the material is a bit heavy but I’ve had quite a few compliments about how visible I am with it on.

It took me a day to build my transition scout earlier this year, started around 8am and finished around 9pm.

All parts were in boxes and that included my first time fiddling with an internal dropper post which was a real pain, bleeding brakes and setting up tyres tubeless.

Yep, definitely worth the commitment, I’m currently watching it for the second time and it’s great but I still think better call saul is way more entertaining.

My scout is 2018 and from having a quick look at the transition website your seat tube is 9mm longer than mine is.

I’m using a 160mm bikeyoke revive on my scout, I’ve also got a 30” inside leg and I’ve got probably 40mm of post sticking out under the collar if not more.

XT 1×11 on both of my mountain bikes and I think it feels great, hardtail has got 11-42 cassette and 34t chainring full suspension 11-46 with a 32t chainring, both wearing well but I do use KMC SL chains, whether that makes a difference or not I don’t know.

My gravel bike has got sram apex 1×11 which is ok but doesn’t feel as nice as my mtbs, I don’t like how sloppy the mech is too.
