Interested in the temp related fatigue as well. I have a carbon frame and now am reluctant to take out in the cold if this willhappen

With more teeth your smile will be bigger…your jaw line may take a few weeks to adapt to the larger number of teeth and your bite may feel strange until you adjust to the new settings…otherwise…not much difference!

This made me lol. I was thinking of 1×10, but not sure how id cope. I like having the big ring sometimes for a bit of power instead of spinning out.

We went in 2011 for my mums wedding, stayed at the fortress outside galle I think. 5 star absolutely beautiful. When we went it took 6/7 hours to get there hut they have built a motorway now so takes about 2 hours

But if ditch gxp ( which I have heard bad things about as well in fairness) could I still use sram truvativ? Being honest the whole thing confuses me.

So if I went for a normal bb I can still use sram, or would it be shimano?

Cheers rusty sorry for being such a spoon with this!

    So whats bb30?

    ashleydwsmith

    Cheers rusty.

Why so many different versions! So probably easier to stick with gxp all the way.

Cheers rusty, I will probably stay with sram, bit can I get say a chris king bb to replace?

Yes and yes but by no means in good a nick as that!

I have knackered the front rings and figured I could get a replacement in the sales ready for summer, and possibly replace the bb.

So it is only gxp 68/73mm? Is that a multi or is it one particular size?

Rear slippage is good but did cause me to do the flip sideways when it decided to stop slipping abruptly the other day!

Problem is it gets bunged up on the ride. Will check cable grip as that seemed a bit loose when I tightened it earlier. But didn’t fix problem when out.

Cheers Monty. Will get a cable kit and replace.

Up there today, quite churned up imo. It is rideable but energy sapping in places.

Similar story, got a maestria for Xmas, absolutely love it. Coffee all the time. However still waitingg for the £40 credit to buy the 250 pods so I genuine the storage solution.
Quality cup of coffee very time, so good that I have stopped using sugar as I used to in my instant.

My youngest has developed chicken pox, hurrah! Real shame though as my grandad who has throat cancer may not be able to spend Xmas with us and I was really looking forward to it!

    Hope babyP gets better soon.

A nespresso machine although I’m sure I will get shot down for that, a Samsung 10.1 tab and a riding buddy for boxing day as all my normal riders are away ( or at least that’s what they are saying)

I’m sure there is something on their Facebook site saying non transferable! I may be wrong but might be worth a check?

So what exactly is wrong with nespresso.

From my point of view and having worked for a German coffee chain, I find them great. The coffee tastes nice and is quick. As much as I would love a cafetiere every morning to do it right takes far too long. I have an espresso maker for the gas hob, again takes far too long in the morning. Filter coffee is just shite.

Just wondering what the aversion is? Or hatred?

When I bruised mine, it wasn’t bad to start with but about two weeks later it was absolute agony, even to drive. Got checked but no breaks.

I’m in, live two minutes away. The area is in good nick apart from some valley areas. Lots of roots around and hopefully there will be some techy stuff put in. Maybe even the massive up and downs along the fence? Although the steps in those are a bar steward to get up in the wet.

Looking forward to it and hoping to finish much better than the last round.

2mm park tools says is right (grammatically incorrect I know), issue is that mine is going to be greater than that.

Also should I have a med cage mech on a 2×10 setup?

    ashleydwsmith

No cant go any lower as it catches on the frame, it’s a gr zaskar FS so the mech attaches to a little nub.

Running a 2×10 so no clearance issues on the middle ring.

Same as lmt, fed up with waiting for apple to produce and amazing phone only for it to have tech that other players had 8 months earlier.

So I went for the s3. Love it, takes some getting used to after an iPhone but is a great phone.

Being a lego fan myself and regularly building stuff with my boys (I’m 32) that has brought a tear to my eye!
