Lewis, I will be thinking of you and your family on wednesday. I plan to ride with a friend to a fantastic place for the balloon release and a moments silence.

Once again my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Your strength is something of an inspiration to me as im not sure I could talk like you have.

    Keep strong.

Im intrigued as to why you have to pump it up with nothing in and leave it. Is that purely to see if the tape is on right?

Many thanks for all the responses. You are right, I think it is a mental thing. I know I can handle a bike, but its just the tyres are so thin!

Taking all the advice on board though so thanks again!

So will the stans kit that comes with the rim tape, valves and sealant be enough to complete it?

Get out there and pedal. If its crap when you are out let the know and drop home. I normally am an amazing olympian when I feel crap.

Not true at all but normally enjoy myself.

Just had a look at the rotors. It appears I have escaped unharmed, from the pads catching the rotor arms.

But I dont have any washers to space out the calipers.

    Dammit!

What about a wingman? They any good?

    ashleydwsmith

They are quaxar floating ones as listed on xcracer. Please note not slating his service or the product as service has been brilliant.

Going to have a play, see if the pads are hitting the arm. Which maybe a possibility.

I think I will try the gerber and if I use it well enough I can always upgrade, or I might be pleasantly surprised by the quality.

I think a suspension would be a good start, as an entry point into multitoolworld.

£20 if I dont use it not too much of a waste whereas £50+ on a leatherman and not using it is a waste.

So as an entry level what would you recomend. Obviously drawn to the most expensive. Although can get the bear grylls one for 26 £ off amazon.

Drac are gerbers good? Not particularly drawn by the brand but more by the product.
