Spoke to a friend in a bike shop he said they had to stock 70 models of a bike to be able to offer it in their range that's some outlay, the bike shops are doing their best but with the companies and the state of the pound what can they do. Just bite the bullet and buy an 09 model with a greatly discounted price. As with Lapierres shops can't get enough in so it's demand thats keeping prices up – you're not going to get a discounted zesty or spicy if their taking orders for 2 and 3 months ahead.

Enduros the others take the limelight away from the bike – a little too much.

If you do go the ck way buy the hubs at the same time, as the anodising changes – I bought one pewter hub from here and it was almost dark grey and another hub from Aspire and it was almost purple. Great hubs though.

There is a Tredz in Swansea my LBS, I've got to say all the staff know their stuff and they do bend over backwards to help. I bought my spicy from them on recommendations from their staff and am definitely more than happy with it, the mechanics are great there to. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I'm almost setting up from scratch – the bike hasn't been touched for about 10 years just thought I'd get it out of retirement and put to good use.

I like the tow bar ones as you can hose the bike down whilst on the back of the car – no muddy patio. Also the idea of a 2 grand bike on the roof doesn't inspire me with confidence. Petrol wise the roof carrier is supposed to be heavier on juice.

I've had no problems so far, I've got a 2009 316. When it does eventually go I'll book it into my LBS and let them have the headache of changing it.

Poor chap still has the reflectors on and all the crud catchers money can buy – or the shop can add to his bill. Don't think he was aware of what he needed to buy to suit his riding style.

Better lose a few pounds off my gut and not bother getting weight obsessive. Trouble is Iike a Few ugh ugh ugh beers. So what the hell I'll just have to work a bit harder going up.
