Don’t touch it with a barge pole, that model twin turbo had egr cooler problems causing excessive oil use. Could cost 5 or 6 grand to put right.

I live in Sketty, the schools are good there’s two climbing centres here soon to be three. Plenty to do for the kids and you in and around Swansea. I was born in Swansea travelled around the place with the Navy but have settled in Swansea. – The graveyard of ambition (people who move here tend to stay here). Houses are moving quick down here at the moment as more discover Swanseas delights and are moving here as they’re able to work from home and travel into their office when needed. To be honest wouldn’t live anywhere else.

    I’ve owned a mk2 and mk3 also owned a 20010 Rav 4.
They all drove well loved the mk2 the mk3 was very reliable but a little boring. I lost a lot of money on the mk3 as depreciation was high. The Rav 4 was my favourite to drive I had a petrol auto and had no issues at all.

I’ve had ankle surgery that didn’t work and my lightweight ebike has got me out riding agin and in a good place. Not sure if I could deal with the full fat 50lbs + ebikes. The lightweight bikes are far better on my opinion.
    Love my Levo sl.

I love my gummies slippers really comfortable and have a proper sole. You can also buy new insoles for them. Had the slippers three years now and put one set of insoles in them.

I ve just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I’m therefore on a low sugar low fat diet with complex carbs. I’m finding porridge really good for filling me up. I’ve cut out butter/spread as well as white bread. The diabetic nurse told me that fruit was ok and specially citrus, but bananas and grapes were full of sugar. I was weighed in the surgery and it was over what I thought but three weeks in to the new diet and I feel like I’ve lost weight but not going to weigh again until I’m in to the diet for a bit longer. I’ve got a couple of frames to build but feel safer on the spin bike for the moment.

I’ve never bought a full price new bike. Currently my newest frame is a bird 2019 which was second hand. Have been able to source parts quite reasonably and looking forward to build it when I have time. Bikes don’t have to be too expensive if you’re prepared to buy used and be a season or two behind.

Have a chat with the council in Swansea they run a bike recycle project where unloved bikes are taken from the tip and up cycled into a usable machine. Also the tip with us has a shop where they sell things that are donated or thrown away but have have life left in them.
    Good hunting.

The kids know how to push buttons.
The management were also at fault and couldn’t see the problem. Just remember that no ones rushing you to do anything. Take your time and wait until you’re ready.

Good luck we’re always here to listen and talk.

For me it was sitting in my car crying before going into work. I taught in an alternative education setting teaching kids who should have been in a PRU. I also had a. Lot of family issues with ill relatives. First port of call was my wife explaining what was going on etc. She made me go to the docs who signed me off and prescribed happy pills. I told work the following week and they were great. Sorted out meetings with the college doc as well as arranging counselling for me. 10 sessions later I was in a more positive mind, but not in a good place. All together I was off work for 7 months getting my head back together. I went back to work but the original issues were still there. I needed the pills to help me get through the days. I’m still taking the pills after a long dragged out few year’s looking forward to getting off the pills eventually. You do what’s right for you and no one can tell you how you’re feeling. Listen to the suggestions and do what makes you feel comfortable. Pills have worked for me but, they are not the answer. Good luck and if you want to dm carry on.

I’m just about to swap frames over from a large to medium and wondered if there was another option before I started that might need a little less maintenance.

On the banana fingers website there is a really good shoe size calculator for each type of climbing shoe. If you can get to Bristol when possible they will fit you to a perfect type of climbing shoe. No I’m not on commission, my daughter bought shoes from go outdoors and ended up too big. She’s wearing la sportiva solutions that her feet have changed shape to fit. She has a pair of 5 ten anaztazi pro she has found a little baggy.

Ended up pulling the trigger on a new 2019 Fox Van rc for a good price. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of some shocks but, I’ll get used to it and learn exactly what the adjustments can do and truly what I need.
    Thanks

Broke mine 23 years ago after one operation 21 years ago and another two years ago I’ve just retired on I’ll health due to the injury. All you can do is follow the physios advice and build strength back in the leg. Good luck with the recovery and take it easy.

Most older T4’s have had welding done to them. This doesn’t mean they’re bad vans. I sold mine 5 years ago but when I bought it I spent a fortune on welding. If the van is right take it to a garage for a report at least then you know of the welding has been done properly.

Worse thing I did was to get rid of my Bottlerocket. There’s a lot out there. As I read somewhere on here last night prices are up at the mo for lower priced bikes but cheaper on more expensive bikes. For £2k I’d imagine there are some used deals about at the mo as people could be selling their rigs to get some cash.

I used to use the classifieds many years ago. It was reliable with a lot of advertisers selling good kit at a good price. Since rejoining this forum the classifieds seem quiet stagnant. Is everyone now using PBike?
