Yes the top “+” airvalve is removed so remember to exhaust air BEFORE you remove valve.
IIRC its something like 25-27mm. Take care when removing because the o ring can get caught in the stancion threads

I fill to 45mm from stancion lip. Put a mark on the long allan key and use like a dipstick :-)

Andrewj, just trying to let OP know that there’s a lot more to Wales than Afan. The natural trails in the Beacons far outclass the trail centers, but local knowledge is essential

I find Cwmcarn a lot harder mainly due to all the extra little efforts to get up round the tree stumps. Legs are shot on climb after the picnic area with the pig totam pole. Its the only trail center climb I don’t seem able to clean

Goto Brechfa and do the “Gorlech” red, but just before the final decent follow the signs for the “Raven” black route. When you get back to final decent of the Gorlech you can finish off.
Best of Wales, and not too busy either.

Its on a phone contract, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 50Gb data.
I use a HTC wildfire s out and about, when upgrade was available didn’t want a new phone so had the tablet as a free gift and an unlocked cheapo phone I can use for fishing, where orange is a better signal.
And the tablet for sofa surfing.
Wasn’t trying to say it was a good deal, but works for me, and it’s a good tablet IMO :-)

I used my avid’s once and then shortened hose and brake fluid was black.

Used to work in Japaese electronics industry, Toshiba was quite a good brand.

Wouldn’t life be a bit boring if we didn’t have the “Troll or not Troll” question.
Maybe we should appoint a Troll Finder General

Is it mineral or DOT 4, and how long ago was it changed last.
Had to shorten the hose on a new set of Avid Elixir couple weeks ago, DOT 4 that came out was cack

Thoroughly dry the caliper, put a strong elastic band around lever and bars overnight and see if any fluid is forced out. This should show up any leak

I brought a bearing replace kit from giant through LBS for a NRS cost about £30, loads of bolts and mandrels.
Fits loads of bikes, try any giant dealer, if they don’t stock, which is more than likely, ask them to order. Any good shop will.
