I have been to all these places before but mostly when i was younger with famil trips etc and always dreamed of riding my bike there and now im finally getting to do it, it wont be the only time though!

Skye is fantastic but ive never been up to that Quiraing area, didnt even know it was like that! so really want to visit!

The route that makes everything a bit out of the way is the one on the north of skye, we could do a route in kintail/glen affric instead but the scenery around Quiraing just looks absolutely incredible!!! cant remember who recommended it but it was someone off here

yeah ive driven it before, its a fair distance on singletrack road

You think they are too far apart driving wise? was thinking of mabye missing out the Skye routes and stay on the mainland, and ride kintail and applecross area instead, making the driving less per day…

B R… errrr next week, i realise there are some issues with people possibly out stalking, i am in contact with them to sort out if there will be any issues.

Yep I have entered!! First Enduro race, done a few xc, 24hr, dh and other things but not an enduro as yet…
So its flat… hmmm, I have a trek scratch or an evil sovereign but thats just singlespeed, hmmm what to take?!

Why does it say gps but then also say dont worry the whole course will be fully marked out so you dont need to buy one :S

thanks guys, think that Skye route will have to go into the plan, looks great, proper lord of the rings country!

ahsat – do you think that sligachan route is worth it then? Maybe worth chosing something else, on Skye? or if not maybe we would miss out skye and stay on the mainland… any other suggetions for that?

Also for the time of year we are going, will be last week september or first week october. Is there anything we should take into account especially, weather/tempurature/length of daylight etc? Will it be especially affected compared to summer/now.

if you mean the track that comes off honister down the east side of Warnscale Beck which really kind of arcs around the bowl like valley then… yes its a great descent in the dry, its very technical and quite trick but thats what i love in the lakes, definitely rideable in the dry in my opinion.

unfortunately london is gay and to secure the property (its madness to get a place here, comes on the market in the morning, gone by lunchtime) we had to pay upfront a few months otherwise i would be straight on with withholding my rent!

toys – I am giving them one more chance as they claim they will fix it ‘after the olympics’ as apparently all local tradesmen have been told to work from home… i know, baffles me too… If not fixed next week, thing gonna get interesting

Already been to building regs, its proving that its illegal in this situation that im having a problem with, in a private rented out property… With the No. of people living in the property as I mentioned in England does the property require an HMO, I know in Scotland it does, its 3 or more unrelated persons

Exactly what I thought! which is what I have been looking for online, there is no definite you need a light fire escape sentence that i can find but I am quite sure I could call a fire inspector and have them say its unsafe, which is what it says you need to have done to say you can have your HMO liscence in the first place

Grantway, we went up and stayed near Cwmcarn for a night in a place called Risca, just over the hill form Cwmcarn, we planned to go biking but didnt in the end as it was mingin and just went for a walk.

Anyway, place was so nice! it was £45 a night for a garden annex self catered but might has well have been BnB the owners were so bloomin helpful, gave us so much food as a ‘welcome pack’ and even gave us a lift to the train station in Newport the next day just cos they were nice. It looks a little granny flattish in the photos but it really didnt feel like that, was nice and cosy, had everything you needed + local maps, good storage for bikes and a nice garden to lounge in if the weathers nice! The owners could not have been more helpful/friendly!
