I went over on my own and I must say it was a great event and met a lot of really nice people to ride with!

Strava says I have the quickest time out of the other 88 people who used strava on that dunkery stage woo!

I am basically in the same situation to you, or was last yr… graduate, single, mountain biker, working in Farringdon (just near St. Pauls).

I would suggest Wandsworth and surounding area as it has the cheapest council tax in the country (correct me if im wrong) or maybe the cheapest in London, so something to think about. Means you are very close to Clapham Junction for trains which is perfect for commute down to Surrey/South Downs/Bracknell etc… Means you have a decent cycle to work to keep fit on the road bike.

    nice… similar to what I have…

    Except mine is single speed….

    and cotic not on one….

    and steel not carbon…

whatever you do, always have a look on topcashback and quidco for that little extra off… also have a look on outdoorsmagic for 2nd hand ones and they have a few threads on there for people finding good deals on websites. ukclimbing has a good classifieds too

When my bike got nicked and recovered by me (police involved) it took longer and was harder to get the bloody thing back from the police then the thieves themselves!

Bandito – where is your last photo taken from? if you look on the map it looks like the bridleway follows the countours along the left hand side of the valley but your photo suggests it follows the right hand side?

we are going for 3 weeks! So far I found a rather cheap deal on a camper van for our first week so we paid £470 for 1 week for unlimited miles for a one was journey from Clagary to Vancouver… so we have that to begin with then make our way back via whatever means from Vancouver to Calgary over the next 2 weeks… what do people suggest for transport? trains? buses? rent a car?

couldnt be arsed to read everthing so might have been said already but if you go for a new contract look on topcashback and quidco you often get big moneys back on those sites for phone contracts!

thanks guys, sounds good ill give them a bell

chief – what a top notch bell end you are. I never said i wanted it to be replaced, I was simply enquiring as to whether people had had good or bad experiences with exposure and them fixing their products… which would inform me whether to bother or not as if it was bad experience and in most cases people were told just to buy a new unit then I would rahter now, if it was good and they were repaired and charged not too much for their time/service then I am more likely to give it a try.
