Hmm, quite a bit to think about there!

I’m also lucky enough to have a gym at work, but it’s only small. Will try to add a few things to my routine and see where i go from there.

Why not go for a test drive and ask that you try putting some bikes in the back? If you come across serious and say that it’s a major part of what you want from the car, that you want to be able to put bikes in the back and you want to see whether they fit, then you should be allowed to have a go.

Has CRC’s website been hacked or something? This has all the hallmarks of a none-too-subtle scam

Remember: if it seems too good to be true…

Remember the custom oakleys which Oakley let everyone have for free? Too good to be true? Not that time.. It happened.

the most dangerous thing about bank transfers is trusting the other person to deliver you the goods. (if it’s a purchase of some description)

90pc of trades have massively benefited from computers.

I would however, say the manufacturing industry. Computerised machines creating thousands of units an hour all to the same specifications. Amazing to watch them.

Long hours, boring work, but there’s bags of hours available and after your contract term is over, you’ll have enough cash to tie you over till the next job. You will be on your feet all day. Just do it. Even if you hate it, 6/7 weeks of work is easy enough.

    Great post ant

Are you back on the bike yet ?

Back on the road bike. Been on the MTB once and shooting pains through your spine over the big bumps isn’t that great, so leaving it a little. Cheers bud for remembering!

a scrub is where you slow down without using the brakes so as you’re entering the next section at the correct speed.

There’s no disadvantage of having someone on your wheel, just annoying if they don’t help out.

I can’t say exactly, but if there is a guy up front from the lead chasing team, then sometimes they can be used to slow the leading group (that’s if they all take turns).

and barter them down as much as you can? You can get the 300 easy for £15k, but the 330 and 360s are more costly.

8:30-4:30 for me – 37.5 hrs p/w when in the office. Dependant on the work load, i work anywhere between 34 hours and 52 hours a week. If i’m travelling, then sometimes it’s 60 hours+

    Cheers chaps.

Went this morning and it’s not too bad! Quite tame i agree. Well worthwhile for those who need it though! Booked on for 2 per week for the next few!

Pass plus dropped my first years insurance by a grand.

Because of the price of insurance, i encourage everyone under the age of like.. 21 to wait to get a car. It’s nigh on impossible for people to afford car insurance at the age of 17/18 now, unless parents are wanting to pay for it.

As for insurance, fully comp is normally cheaper than TPFT.

The company that we serve have just issued all the mid to top level scientists with ipads.

They have no use for them and all just have them to play with really. They’ve all got laptops and a desktop, so an ipad also is just
    a) a money making opportunity from the pc suppliers
    and
    b) a waste of money and time for the company in loss of productivity.

OTB on a massive jump resulting in crushed T12 and L2 vertabrae and a broken hip socket.

I apparently somehow walked and then got picked up in a van and taken straight to hospital. If an ambulance was called, then it would have been the air ambulance, as we were miles away from anywhere and out in the sticks.

I don’t remember the crash, all i remember is my memory coming back laying on a couch waiting to be picked up to go to the hospital. Concussion is a horrible thing, i was trying to say one thing and different words were coming out of my mouth.

Adrenaline is amazing. I only felt like i had tore slightly my left hamstring.

Codeine is awesome. Apparently it turns into Morphine in the liver. It does however, turn your faeces to stone and can have some other interesting side effects.

When i broke my spine, i was on codiene for 7 days when i was in the first hospital, then got transferred to a different hospital and put on tramadol. 10 days in, due to the pain killers i still hadn’t had a poo as codiene, and especially tamadol bungs you up.. I was given laxatives for 2 days, and 5 minutes before my parents came to visit, my intestines decided to empty all at once. As i was bed ridden at the time, i actually filled over 2 bed pans in about 60 seconds… :/

Wasn’t good at the time, but it was bloody hilarious thinking back.

I would never buy a 2nd hand carbon frame. They can hide some fairly big problems.

For £2k, i’d go for decent carbon with ultegra or 105, or a pimping ultegra build on a Ti frame with some nice wheels.

    Degla with the new section.

But to be fair, you’re just next to Coed y Brenin.

I was going to say penmachno, but you’re on your own, and it’s fairly remote.

Heh, i work in a portacabin, so no lifts for me.. :)

We also have a fully equipped gym at work which virtually no-one uses.

Signed in today to use the gym tomorrow, and only 2 people have used it so far this week.

    laptops that are compatable with docking stations have the long connect on the underside that can be seen in this pic;

I’ve got a HP Elitebook for work which spends 80pc of its time docked to a docking station so i can use a normal keyboard, monitor and mouse.

I’ve done it before with my mule. Came out clean. It’s not going to disintegrate if you put it in the washer.

haha, binners yep, road bike for now.

I don’t fancy doing some trail riding at the moment whilst everyone else is at work. I’d prefer to go do a loop of a decent easy trail with mates instead of my own. On the road bike it’s easier to go out on your own.

    Cheers everyone.
