it’s all smooth tbh, like riding a bridleway all the way around tbh.

I don’t really understand the grading at Llandegla. None of it should be black, apart from the freeride section with 3ft drops with no chicken runs.

it’s all easy tbh, nothing really that challenging, apart from the challenge of staying in the big ring for the first climb.

False teeth at CyB, just for pure speed and grin factor

Have to say, i quite agree.

Rode the MBR for the first time on sunday, and it was reallllllyyyyy fun.

Sometimes there’s an axle that you need to drift out. If there’s two bolts that go into the bottom of the shock, this dictates that there is an axle or something that needs drifting out. Those allen keys won’t screw into thin air!

To do that, screw one allen key in about 4/5 full turns, and give it a tap with a mallet.

Yeah, because they’re super short term loans.

They’re ‘payday loans’ as such, to tie you over for a week or so.

My ride is only 4mi each way, and this is normally done in just a tad under 10 mins. Flat all the way!

Used to ride 17mi each way to my old job.

    no, that won’t cause that.

I had a slight rippling in power from my old set of disc brakes.

I ended up sanding the pads slightly, and cleaning the rotors wiht a brake cleaner. Didn’t work, so i kept riding and ignoring it, then i switched from sintered to organic pads, and it stopped. (oR THE OTHER WAY AROUND)

Just like to share that i hit the magical 67mpg mark in my 1.8tdci focus today :D Thats driving from liverpool to london and back, best thing was, only costed £41 in diesel when i got back Was sat between 1750 and 2krpm most of the time)!

I agree, if you’re doing motorway miles, ease the accelerator to go quicker, you’ll notice that you’ll accelerate quicker and use less fuel if you slowly push the pedal down than just planting it.

Oh, and don’t be fraid of sitting behind a lorry doing 60/65, as they help a lot when it comes to using less fuel! (With them pulling you along and that) As for short journeys, use the bike ;) Diesels aren’t great for quick shooting to the shops, they tend to use more fuel than petrols if you’re using the car for short journeys (couple of miles) as they do not heat up.

    My process..

    Leave bike on bike rack
Garden hose off the loose stuff
    Spray bike with MucOff
Sponge down the whole bike (Takes 2 mins)
    Rinse

Dry off the chain and sprockets,
    then re-lube with chain lube,

then i go out up and down the road to dry off the brakes. Get them nice and steaming. Bike then goes in the shed ready for the next time out.

46mph on the roady. Was drafting a car down a hill where the speed limit was 40. Was catching them up too.

Was from my bike computer, but i think it’s fairly accurate as i rode with a friend whos GPS was reading the same speed as my bike comp.

I had a kid screaming hysterically for 8 hours sat right behind me on an overnight flight back from Ghana – would have quite easily strangled it if I thought I could have got away with it.

Had the same thing when i was away with work last week.

Flying back from Rome Airport to Paris CDG to catch a connection to manchester, there was a cockup with my ticket and i was downgraded to economy only to find me sitting in front of a screaming baby for two hours. Not what you want after working 58 hours over the previous 5 days. Not that great tbh even with my noise cancellers on. Only consolation was the air france flight to manchester. Work paid the flights so i had premium seats, front row of the plane, and no crying babies.

But then again, i don’t have kids, so i would think that it’s not that sensible to take a small baby on a plane.

Ended up going for the endura stealth.

Found it going for less than £125, so splurged!

From what i heard at the cafe yesterday (Which was also a B’Hol), they’ll be open.

They’re normally open on bank holidays, Makes no sense for the café to be closed on one of the busiest riding days of the years. Last time i went on a bank hol, they were open.

Carpark and Loos will definately be open.

I’d replace them every 3000 or so. Failing that, a new set of summer tyres each spring :)

    Endura Stealth

That’s a good price! Just found it under £125 in red in my size! Looks like that may be the winner!
