If you have a Clas Olsen shop locally you can buy reflective tapes in rolls from them.

Car part prices are a tad crazy… i do like the idea with the berlingo that should one of it’s old fashioned h4 bulbs go.. it’ll be a doddle to reach in and change.

If your running an shiney expensive car you can probably afford the running costs. (the berlingo is shiney, but only twice a year when i bother to wash it)

same sort of tale with my coil sektors.
Arrived with whats better imagined as an aerosol coating of oil.
Since servicing the lowers they feel much much better.

Make friends with the boys and girls at retro swag hoarding… cough i mean older stuff. [/url]

Big community of people riding older kit and chances are you’d find something for sale on the forum.

Driving a hoofing big van takes a short while to adjust to.
I know whenever i pick up a transit before a riding holiday it takes a couple of miles to get used to being in a different position and so on.

Marzochi always used to do an mxcomp..

other option is get in touch with magura as the last i remember they could do a special order of an inch steerer fork.

If you are trying to breathe fresh life into a retroish bike.. you may be better off selling your current frame fork combo on to someone who would be happy with that setup then the world is your confusing suspension fork size oyster.

I’m now a two bike guy.
Currently using a Pompino built with flat bars constantly for commuting, and, general whooshing around.
The full sus sits around most of the time until i go for a night ride.

One paticular section of Dalbeatie ticks the box for me.
It’s not natural but its a nice place to be, and, i know my riding holiday has kicked off once i’ve ridden there.

Ensure you are in future equally well equiped and also ensure you either give a tube/missing link away in future to redress the karma balance.

    Jobs a goodun.

Before someone comes along and gives you a how to do it guide..
the weight difference will be so small you’d be better off losing weight elsewhere.

What sort of bike is it?

Great value tyre… priced the way they should be.

as long as you don’t do bender style drops hucks with them they’ll be quite happy.
    I’d suggest the coil ones.

I’ve got some and with the standard spring they handle my sack of crap riding style.

Other option would no doubt be something by Marzocchi..

my disc brake ‘compatible’ gen2 (pre swapdrop) inbred frame came with closed guides.
Seems insane given most people will run hydros and will not wish to bleed and rebuild a brake.

so i’ve had to use some stick on cable guides.
They’re available from crc, or ebay. CRC turned out to be the cheapest if memory serves me correctly.

    option two… drill..

or option three.. run some cables that have a seal tube between the stops like goodridge?

Of late it’s been right price/place right time.

Pompino was an ebay fluke.. 65 with lots of kit with it..

Inbred was from long line of triggers broom builds.. think the hubs are the oldest bit.

Mountain Cycle full sus was a drunk purchase on christmas eve two years ago. My first full sus bike, and, it’s taken me down some crackin trails very quickly.

One of the chaps in our riding bunch has a really nice stumpjmper with a brain shock, but, he’s got the queerest setup in the world with his stem/bars.

    just feels wrong.
Would be such an easy fix.

So as a result you spend the whole time cursing the setup when you ride it.

I try not to justify cycling as a financial improvement.. rather a more pleasant way to get from a to b.
The alternative is sitting next to someone with poor bum muscle control who farts everytime the bus hits a pot hole.

Been intending to buy Adventures in Hifi which i think is one of the best things they did.

If the ideas start drying up then it’s good sense, it also means you can have a massive come back in say 10 years.

My father is on his second Suzuki V Strom.
He had a 1000 first, and he’s now got the vastly improved 650 which is a more flexible engine and gives better fuel economy.

The older models in the vstrom range make decent second hand buy according to the old man.

nearly all the stems/seatposts/saddles i run are second hand.

Why pay retail for thomson stuff.
