My mate rides a trance and he rides it like a mini downhill bike.
Absolutely hammers it down glentress on a regular basis. Pedals rather nicely as well.

Is there anyone on here who just uses a car as a tool like a white good (say like your fridge)

It keeps your beer cool and just gets on with it without drama?
My boring diesel berlingo suits me fine.

the servo wave levers have never felt as nice as the old levers to me, but, i've not got my own set.
I have some older xt brakes and they feel fantastic.

It's a nice bike and i hope you get it dirty, neglect the maintenance schedule of the forks and just enjoy it for what it is for… a bike!

I hope you manage to remove..
my buddy had to pass his NS frame to a mate with a pillar drill.
He then drilled the remaining chunk of metal in the frame (after cutting the post down.

    Politics is all bollocks.
It's a panto. Whoever you vote for has no bearing at all in the grand scheme of things. The sooner folk accept this the better.

Hacksaw again, the roller cutters are crap, esp on those zochi steerer tubes that have the ridges on.
The cutter jumps onto a differnet ridge and spoils the cut

Buzzlightyear i love the way halfords sell stuff uber cheap at times.

I've had some absolute bargains over the years, one of the best being a saracen zen frame with cranks still attached for 20quid.

It fluctuates. Some days i wake up and i feel homicidal, others i just feel vaguely angry.
    so generally 5 when i'm riding with mates it's a 9. If i was more skilled on a bike riding somewhere good it'd be a 10 :P

It was 10 years old, he said "i've ridden trials, downhill, xc, jumps and a trip to les gets on it, the body has cracked"

Fine, erm, just bung it in post with a note..

Cue new, shiney silver xc turns up 2 days later.

any that are around are getting on a bit, so, if you do ride one in anger it will possibly die quite quickly ridden in any anger.

So, bassspine it is suggested that 1984 is a less valid text because of it's popularity and the fact that many people will first have encountered it in education.
It is chosen in schools because it stimulates political thought and there is a lot to get your young teeth into. No point in choosing crap for kids to study.

Does everyone read the book world equivalent of a niche bike as well just for the sake of it? Perhaps these books have special paragraph structures that allow more efficient reading with less frequent page turning and less eye strain over long sustained reading periods.

Anyway everyone is different, tastes differ.. opinions being like sphincters etc etc…

The book is superb (1984). It is wonderfully bleak, and i like to revisit it at least once a year. What is really horrifying is how many parallels between the world forecast in the book and how we live now.

    Sleep well?

Someone getting evangelical about bike shocker..
but seriously it does seem a little bit heavy going.

I'd rather sites just said "this product is ace not radge and works really well in gritty british mud. – buy it"

chances are it'll probably ride better than it has a right to.
The old butler frames made of steel were actually quite nicely put together way back when.
