One of our lot was stopped on christmas eve after 6 double jd and cokes. He amazingly passed the breath test.. (he’d ridden through a red light)

they just took one look and spotted all the night vision gear and million lumen lights and just told him and i quote “don’t be a ****”

10 or 15 psi out of most things will give more grip.
Last year i ended up running a pair of cheap horrible tioga things that happened to be in the shed. 15psi seemed to create a manageable level of steering precision and grip

could probably pick some up off an old fork on ebay cheap enough.. also means you gain some spares.

It really boils down to more than miles.
The type of miles, the conditions you ride in..

My pal near killed a set of recons with the salt off roads despite regular servicing. Just depends where you ride and how much.

seeing them as well.. seen them three times in the past 11 years.
Bit of fun.. all wonderfully tongue in cheek.

Drink at a different pub, or use a skanky bike when you do a pub ride.

The correct method of handling your call probably would have been to take your number, the spec of the item and quantity and promise to ring back before end of day.
Then, ring back within twenty mins having checked they were available to order perhaps.

But, we all know that the reality is the guys on his tod, he’s got orders to do, 14 tube changes to do, and an annoying seized bb on an old roadie.

Correct me if i’m wrong, but, if at every stop on his route he gives change to everyone with a tenner then his float is screwed.
They have not got space for an unlimited float – and no i’m not a bus driver.

Public transport does however suck. The tyne and wear metro will only take coins, not notes, which if you actually pay your fare and don’t use a pass is a ball ache at times.

I have one that i run as a bar mount with 2800 mah NIMH’s.
It gives full power for a 45 min each direction commute.
I also run a blinker and a few 100 lumens on my helmet.
It’s just extra. For a while i used to run it with a blinker on the bars and it was fairly effective.

Other lights are available, and are more versatile.

Yes.. will be fine. Just be sure to use the right spacing to achieve the correct chain line. (instructions do come with the bb)

apologies, however the guy himself had he been a regular would know who i meant.. maybe.. newcastle to coastbound.. on the Coastroad oddly enough.

Oh and schwalbe relect wall tyres. Epic.

Personally i’d single out areas where bus lanes have been added. In the case of Suburban, it would be places featuring traffic calming causing traffic to meet more closely.

My commute is relatively simple, straight line from burbs to centre

Create awareness of the poor poor cyclists who feel hard done by.
The OP view is that we often shout a bit too much. but.. then i don’t ride in London. The Newcastle lot are gaining momentum, last friday of the month.

The question is… does Critical Mass achieve it’s goal? as in successfully campaigning for the rights of cyclists as road users.

    Who cares..
when commuting i’m on a ruler straight cycle path with very little in the way of interest other than my ipod blaring out some shit cod piece metal so apollo pikey in his reflective tesco vest does’nt really show up on my radar.

If i leave the house a minute late.. half way into my journey i get stuck behind two old buggers on tesco specials with flat light batteries. and they don’t get out of the frickin way… blah blah…. anger blah blah etc etc..

    This.. with puncture protected tyres..
Then on a weekend it gets some mtb tyres put back on.

I do 9 each way everyday near enough.
