Strikes me that if one of the trainees is able to recognise that the injured chap wasn’t really up to it then the instructor should as well.

I hope the forensic engineer did slightly more than indicated for his shilling.

Particles both remain airborne for weeks and re-enter nearby houses…

Be assured that despite your very best efforts you will be outdone by every Italian there. On that basis what badnewz said.

Ghent is lovely, and if you are feeling energetic you can ride to the start of the sportive. Depending upon how much beer you are planning to drink it is worth considering cycling on the Sunday as well as it gives you a chance to see the race in multiple locations (although we just watched from the Oude Kwaremont).

    The sportive is fantastic.

I was in a meeting and stated quite clearly and in plain English that a deadline had been shifted such that it was closer, obviously this was a complicated thing to say, so a colleague illustrated it by stating that ‘the crocodile is bumping against the canoe’. I wasn’t really paying attention and all I heard was crocodile and gnu, which really confused me.

The other one that has taken hold is delta instead of difference or gap. What’s the delta?

Try the Gosforth Hall Inn, Gosforth is a lot nicer than Seascale. Summer Grove is a fair distance from Seascale.

I bought the Fulcrums a couple of months ago, seem good and came out of the Flanders sportive as true as they started it (and I ain’t 65kg…)

    Hi,

Rode Claife heights today, bit of snow on top, perfectly rideable though, there’s a fair bit of snow round Ambleside but temperatures have stayed above freezing so far, so no ice.

Used to work for a bank with a guy called Nick Money, the bank didn’t do too well, but there was no direct link between that and Mr Money. There is a nuclear industry expert called Sue Ion.

Did 8 weeks two years ago, absolutely loved it. We did holland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, sailed to Italy, France , Northern Spain and sailed back from there. That’s probably too much ground to comfortably cover in 6 weeks unless you enjoy the driving bit – we never travelled on consecutive days, and the longest drive in a day was 220 miles.

Of those I would strongly recommend going to the Basque Country, lovely scenery, beaches, food, drink etc….. And you. can sail back from Santander or Bilboa rather than trudge up through France. We could have done with more time in Austria too, we just passed through, but have been back twice since.

It was all great, stayed at a few aires, but tbh a lot of the campsites in Europe were good value anyway. We took bikes as they were great for getting around rather than driving the van all the time.

I used the same 661 one, seemed to do the trick when I was on the bike, used a bog standard compression bandage he rest of the time.

Squeezate – it’s the liquid you get when you squeeze/crush stuff really really hard

My missus works for Citizens Advice and they have had a 10% cut already and are planning job losses, seems a bit ironic that there are going to be lots more people after advice soon.
