Good picture, shows exactly what (I think) I need. I am farly sure it would be the items shown in the bottom middle drawing. I have phoned a few shops & non have the connector needed. I am hoping someone has the parts & has no use for them :-).

andysmiff1, it sounds like you may have used the I-spec A connector already, but if you haven’t that would be great. My email is andy at williams-net dot co dot uk.

gravity-slave, xt shifters & I have the adaptor covers already mounted on the shifters, but I hadn’t considered buying a set as it would work out very expensive for a couple of nuts & bolts, but it could be an option if I all else fails.

“Blimey i must ride in a different Cranham to others.”

You should see what we normally have to ride :( . Cranham is worth the 50min drive to do a few times a year. It just has a good mix of trails that suit my skill level & is never busy (unlike some trail centres).

Cranham is my “soul food”, we try to get there a few times each year. You would be welcombe to join us for our next ride there if you like.

We normally ride just south of Stratford (Shipston on Stour) but our ride are almost always on a Sunday morning. There are a few hills around Imlington/Chipping Campden. I can send you a gpx route in that area if you wish, let me know how far you would like to ride. Andy

Crest. I have seen 355’s take quite a battering, so covinced me to go with 355’s & they have been fine with me.

Fairly normal to leak a little until you have been for a ride.

We have a Pressurised hot water tank & reasonable mains pressure. It will supply enough water for 2 showers (at the same time) easily & fill a bath very quickly. Also the temperature of out hot water is not enough to scold, which I see as a good thing. I cannot recomend it enough.

A mate bought some recently. It did include a rim tape, but it was not a tubeless one.

Yes, best thing I have done. No punctures for 15 months since going tubless, previously I think I must have repaired/replaced 30 tubes in the year before. It has been a painless experiance as well.

It’s worth fine tuning them over a few rides. Now I have them setup well, I think they are brilliant.

    Spd’s on the hardtail.
    Flats on the Full suspension.
Works for me anyway, feel much more in control on the hardtail with Spds.

“If supermarkets can lower the living costs a bit, why not?”

Do Tesco have a national pricing policy or a local one? I think the reality would be they would price as high as they can, there would be no other supermarket within 10 mls.

“Different situation to out of town… but Gosforth High St in Newcastle has seen a renaissance since Sainsbury’s moved in. Contrary to the situation often touted, a green grocers and butchers have opened.”

I don’t think there would be much opposition to an in town supermarket.

“Supermarkets have no concern for the local community, there only concern is to make a profit”

(I’d level that claim at the majority of small shops too)

I don’t think so, most small traders live locally, so are by definition part of the community, so I would hope they have an interest in it. They obviously need to make a profit, but that stays locally too.

The town has a good feel to it, but It does not have a tourist trade to buffer the local trades people against a large supermarket as competition.
Supermarkets have no concern for the local community, there only concern is to make a profit. I am sure the feel & nature of the businesses in town would change & not for the good.
I always try to use the local shops where I can, but will only pay so much over the “odds”.
