More horses die one day eventing no real out cry. Certain sports carry an inherent risk,that is why we do them. Were do you stop,there is always someone who will complain. Those horses were at the top of thier sport,to suggest the owner of syncroniesed who one the gold cup 28 days ago is cruel or uncarring is plain stupid that horse was worth a small fortune,l am sure theu are devestated. You should deal with the shop you bought the bike from. It is their job to deal with commencal on your behalf not for you to deal with them direct. Seems to be a recurring issue with commencal.

Have two springer bitches,best dogs l have ever had. They are born half trained and only want to please you. I would get a cage to put them in if l was going out as mine tended to eat the kitchen if left alone. Had three young kids when they were pups and the worst they would do is give the kids a savage licking. Read up on good gundog training books ,lfound them far better than run of the mill training books. Bitches tend to to be softer than dogs. Ask the breeder if the parent dogs were strong or soft. Most of all enjoy your springer,you will not get dafter more lovable dog imo

Torridon mountains is a good loop with a gteat decent into Annat,if your thinking of wolftraxs drive an hour further north and do Balblair and golspie on the same day. Go to skye and do glen sligachen, stop in the hotel bunkhouse the night before and enjoy a few pints of Cullin ale,have a cooked breakfast in the hotel and then head out on a great ride

Do not do this loop it sucks. Did kt last year,first third easy riding second third total HIKE a bike a real slog up hill through the woods, route march actoss open moorland follows the a accent on the pass. From the top good decent. Go to Torridon go anywhere just don ‘t go there.

Own a 26″ x 1 and rode an anthem 29er for a weekend to compare, no real benefits over the 26 that warrented me swapping to a heavier lower spec’d bike .l am only 5’9″ so maybe to short and l am in the 29er is a hybid camp.

Got an anthem xl and find it more than capable for most rides, golspie black,balblair,torridon mountains ,skye etc etc. My mate has a carbon xtc but is using my anthem for the sxc series as it is faster over a given.xc couirse up here. A bi
gger travel bike might be faster decending but it wil be a lot slower getting to the top,so on long ride or climb an anthem will always be faster imo

Lots of people using lbs expect internet prices but expect tbe all the extras for free such as truing wheels cleaning their bikes they couldn ‘t be arsed doing themselves etc. An estimate is what it says an estimate,you gave the customer a good discount carried out unpaid extra work and moved hlm up the pecking order, seems like good service to me.

There are a lot of clubs all over scotland dedicted to youth developmemt.in xc racing. The kids l train do 2 training sessions on there mtbs,turbo train with the local roadies and ride for fun on saturdays. Their commitment to training is outstanding. This is repeated throughout scotland

Uptill last year l worked for squarewheels in strathpeffer for over 4 years,during that time l have worked on all brands of bikes coached the shop race team( scottish champs for the past four years and been team coach for winning puffer and puffer lite teams.
