I loved the comment about all other road users have registration plates….really?

Horses? runners, OAP wagons, ferrets? frogs and toads, dear? The elderly? Rocks?…they all have road signs, but then all frogs look allike and act alike don’t they?

I really wish all motorists found guilty of malicous acts against cyclists should do a lap of the city centre of a local city on a bike at rush hour, with lights hi viz jackets and little twinkly bells, and a blind fold!

we started at Selworthy, then over to Dunster, all on the bridleway network. Most fun was the descent to Dunster, I took the steep option, made it half way down and bottled out on the last bit, as I didn’t fancy maiming the labrador coming upo the other way.

I want column A to show me which IDs have variable 1, 5 and 17 together.

The raw list has duplicates of the ID in column A as it has variable 1, 5 and 17.

Does that make it any clearer?

Filtering and pivot tables only show me which IDs have any of the variables, and I have a very long list, so I don’t want to have to go through it manually removing single variable entries. I just want the instances where the ID has all 3 variables.

update: Bike has crack in the head due to crash bung. My independent mechanic says it might be possible to weld, but we’ll have to see. He reckons the R&G crash bungs cause more damage than they save, and stated that he’s seen various types of bikes written off due to them breaking engine mounts they’re using as anchor points. He reckons racing engine covers that have more metal deliberately to be sacrificial in such a scrape are a much better option.

Based upon the fact that a new engine head for a sprint st is 7 Grand!!!!! I have to agree.

Moral of the story: GET those bungs off of your bike sharpish!

Junkyard, you may have point, but I would have landed half way up a very ornate looking tree near the Cricketers Inn. I would have most definitely been arrested for molesting Surrey aesthetics, especially as I’m not a Surrey person

I’ll take a picture of the bung, although feels a bit like taking a picture of an empty paddock and stating the horse was there, once…but I left the gate open.

The plastic part of the bung has worn down, and the shaft has half come away from its plate where it bolts to the frame. Fairing off and inspection later….and removal of lots of mud and grass….ahem.

Thanks PP, I’ll give that a go 😆 I suppose this makes me a real biker now.

TJ, the bung is a mess so I hate to think what would have happened without it 😯

I’ll be riding past my black spot later…. with pride….

Ti 456 (Brant Design) is my best ever hard tail. Perfect bike for Surrey Hills, also did the SDW in one ( very slow) attempt, so could this be the most versatile bike? I say YES 😛

Never tried the Ragley shed stuff though.

get a turbo specific tyre, as road slicks wear out really fast! And then go Bang, and then your dog will jump out of his skin and send the telly flying, which will leave you with no bed as the wife will have wanted to watch desperate housewives or something, and you just ruined her evening, and the dog is already in the dog house, which leaves you in the shed…..maybe.

so is sea salt the answer? Mix it with squash and off you go?

OK, OK, so here is what I know as an expert in getting really bad cramp. If I ride to my limits (which reduce in cold weather) I will cramp in muscles in my legs, usually thigh muscles, but as I get more fit, my range extends before it hits, but as I progress a defined muscle group in both legs will ‘sing’. So once they have had their 15mins of pain ( read: me rolling around in agony) they will be fine on the following ride, and an alternate muscle set ( in both legs will have their say.

So what effect does salt, isotonics or bananas have on this…they give me greater range, but I find hydrating before exercise also helps. Nuun helps with post ride head aches like no other. They are magic.

Quick note; all the chanterelle like mushrooms at swinley are False Chanterelles. Not edible.

There are a couple of boletus to avoid, satanoides and the bitter boletus which looks a little like the penny bun boletus but tastes nasty!

but is that it, grab a hand full of rear brake and make a mess of the land? I thought there was more to it?

UK Bike park has some trails which means you need to do it, and to be honest I don't see many downhillers going fast with a locked up rear….

Don't worry GlenP I fear for trail longevity too…

do it now! Law changing again on license, so if you go for the restricted test you will be stuck at 33bhp for ever, unless you go back and take your test on a bigger bike.

Good grief, as CB used to say!

CBT is one day, designed to make you shudder at the thought of being on the open road. Choose a school with private training area big enough to get used to bikes with engines, and have fun. Most good CBT places can provide clothing and safety gear, so you don't need to invest until you want to commit to joining the happy few roaming around without worrying about traffic queues.
