Is there no vegan alternative to butter?

but a cup is another person’s mug or jar or even a bowl?

Is there an international agreement on what a cup is?

If there is, then I hold no hope for us a species, if there isn’t, I rest my case.

Ah, the american trickery of a CUP. I used her book as I am a confirmed Nigella fan. I confess to googling quickly to soothe the demand of the rampaging hordes of potential cake eaterers. DezB found the BBC linky, so I feel content that even those on the other side of the great divide may sample the tangy sweetness, and moistness that this slice of Nigella delivers.

On another note, how did they become a world super power with such ambiguous woolly measurements as a cup?!?

Brant, it made me chortle, that Apple spent years to create a device that is now just a cyber replacement for a small wooden box, a ball bearing and some holes.

DezB, I suppose it rather depends upon the individual. Possibly, someone who is fragile could take offence to being apparently attacked, or perceive it to be an attack due to their state of mind, when the perpetrator was just trying to be funny on a forum.

If somebody felt the need to bully anyone, in any environment…because they’re different or whatever…this is not the place, nor is any other any better.

Could a forum be used/abused in this way? Probably, as always..

    It depends

Good point Southern Yeti, either tears of joy, as half of the old guard slug it out without any idea how it started…

Or the temptation to brew a cuppa, settle down on the old sofa and unplug the forum whilst mutteing…well it seemed like a good idea at the time….

This is great! How many arguments can we have within a single thread anyway?
    😆

Should this be the grumpiest thread ever? Group therapy?

Ernie, I have no doubt it was never intended to be light hearted, just a poke at TJ, like a banana in a tail pipe, but as Binners ran away, the yellow peril hit him on the back of the head as soon as TJ turned on the ignition. Thus it has most definitely left its mark!

    That of a plonker.

+1 TJ win here, but big deal! Take a look around you. Our economy is held together by cotton wool and promises and people are actually having to live in North America for pity’s sake! 😯 get some perspective. Without argument, there can be no opinion, without opinion we cannot change established stupidity. Long live petty, stupid quarrels. Answer me this: would a forum exist without opinions?

I was more concerned with general hormone party in my wife TBH! It all works out in the big bang, and even then ‘they’ will be a little pink immobile blob a quite some time. Get your riding in, get the place ready, then kick back until the party begins. Oh, take tea and biscuits for the birth, you’ll be ignored, so you’ll need to hunter gather to maintain your own strength.

Hope all goes well, and all stay happy and healthy

Air is an infrastructure for applications written in ‘Air’. If you have none, remove it. Safe to say if you need it, the app you choose would probably install it, but on it’s own, not worth keeping.

Last winter I was in Munich, and it took a short while to understand why no cars had alloy wheels, then dawned on me they had thinner steel wheels for winter use and winter tyres. Makes so much sense!

As I have previously posted on the BLT2 I know you think I’m biased, but listening to your needs, why not try and have a look at the Cotic Hemlock. If you are a long term hard tailer then you will enjoy it more than either the SC or the O5. Singletrack raved about the hemlock. Trouble might be getting hold of a demo, but just call Cotic, they always seem happy to help. On other demos, I know you can get demo bikes from Pedal and spoke at peaslake in the Surrey hills. Not so sure where to go
For an orange demo in that area, but the Surrey hills really helped me to choose my current bike(blt2). I would get a mate to go with you, hire both bikes in the correct size for you( very important for blur, and also make sure shock pressure is in the zone for the blur, and then go and ride the same trails on the different bikes.

TBH it always surprised me when LBS’s expect you to part with a large amount of wonga based upon faith alone…

Blur LT2 is fantastic! I also have a pal who has both, and much prefers the Blur, although his is a Blur not a 2 or an LT….son on the face of it maybe not so much help?

BLT2 would be my first choice though….every time!

try using Acrobat. It allows you to embed documents in a pdf, in their original format, but without altering aspects of the file. You can create password encryption at 128bit and 1024bit. This means you could upload the file to an ftp site without it being compromised.
