Have you got a PS3? It does quite well if you put the mp4s on its HD or thought its USB. My NAS is old and rubbish, and keeps buffering, so just use it as a back up, well I did until Apple stopped supporting smb protocols….

Think latest ones are 140mm as a base. Seen them with 160’s on, but imagine they’d be a little too much like a chopper

I thought the 2nd (monday) would be best too, as pubs less likely to be full…

Also, everyone should be having a higher blood to alcholol ratio for getting to Winchester.

    I would use itunes.

Rip your CDs to AAC format in iTunes, and then you can say goodbye to skipping and disc scratches etc.

Do you use itunes? Do you need to know how to change settings for importing your own disc library?

Ok, CG I’ll sort the fox files soon.

Anyone friends with the Bell’s landlord?

Preference on dates? Could do 1st or 2nd Jan?

What sort of length, considering it will be cold, I suggest about 40-50k?

Do we want one cheery group or split into tiers…?

Junkyard, I’ll admit to a slight error in phrasing, if you admit you secretly cherish a royal dalton mug of Charles and Diana’s wedding, and you spent all of your pocket money on it. Now that it’s worthless, your manifestation of anger and bitterness is aimed at royalists and all they stand for.

    There there junkyard, it’s ok.

    ok, thanks for that.

I hope this is nothing to do with your bike vs car incident.

I’ll send you the routes, and you can edit if you like 😀

Do you still need 2 aerial leads to record from a PVR

Nope, just extra cable so you can run from the PVR to the TV, just like the old days with a video recorder

Church and State are separate, unlike the US
Wow hadn’t noticed this. Sorry but can you expect people to take you seriously when you get a basic fact so massively wrong?

My point was based upon money being the deciding vote in their political process, and don’t try and tell me that the churches, in all their many flavours don’t apply great gobs of cash in regards to all sorts of issues voted upon.

The country is soooo religious, and you cannot expect religion not to persuade their views. It does.

Their constitution may separate it, but real life gets in the way of the written word, indeed what worries me most about their system and ours, for that matter are the forces at work that are never written down.

    Works pretty well in Scandinavia.

    I suppose so, yes.

But I’m pretty sure the cost versus the recouped monies based from direct and indirect sales attributed to the existence of our Monarchy make it a worthwhile, viable part of our identity.

I don’t advocate our Monarchy stepping back into political limelight, but the function it plays helps to maintain barriers between opposing parts of our political and religious systems.

After all, this country should be proud of its ability to provide far more diversity of ideas and ideology than most.

    my point is this:

The views on here are extreme, so i went from Monarchy to socialism, and that works, doesn’t it 😯

erm…humax allows you to search for a show, then record the series, or search for other factors on the new ones I think. They have the same data as all the others, so modern pvrs are excellent ideas, and most definitely not a unique selling point for sky, virgin etc

I don’t live in utopia? Do you?

Do you think the Russians had it any better under Stalin?

Or maybe the US Senate is beyond reproach? In the US, where everyone is appointed, and nobody is given a free ride (except the Ivy League) they have to rely on the PR machinations of guilt ridden celebrities to support worthy causes…

That sounds like a much better system….lets hope the next round of Xfactor wannabes share your views

    Chaps,

    This is exactly my point.

Ramming home some ancient grudge. Are you basically sore because you think they have an easy life?

I personally think our political system sucks, but i don’t advocate absolute change and revolution! Monarchy has it’s place in our ‘modern’ system. Church and State are separate, unlike the US. Enormous amount of charity work, good causes, diplomacy and keeping trade relations going. In essence they are a brand against which many rely upon.

I’m not wanting to argue, and won’t. Just understand me when I say I’m a loyalist, and can’t quite get to grips with your hatred of such a fundamental part of our global identity.

The Bell could be a good call, as I usually pin it down the bridleway from BadgerFarm (avoiding dog apples) on my way to the pumping station to join up with the singletrack around St Catherines. There’s enough outside seating, and they might be up for some mulled wine/beer and cake munchers

I’ll see what I can do. THis is looking like a done deal! I’ll start talking to the pubs in the area. On the route could be:

    The Plough Inn (Sparsholt)
The Milburys (South Downs Way: with knee wobbly well)
The Bridge Tavern (Shawford: Site of the death of Victor Meldrew)

Currys will price match Richer sounds, plus 10% of the difference, which is usually quite a lot. I saved a whopping £85 squidoonies on my Sony TV!

Not sure, not tried it. I doubt it’s got a second tuner. It’s a second telly so not had that issue. If you want the DB’s in recording whilst viewing then buy this gadgetry slice of heaven in a sleek black box

my new sony has a usb, and with a drive attached I can record shows, just like a pvr.

Limited functionality in regards to more complex commands, so no series searching etc. I’ll still need to buy a PVR, as most of the stuff I like never appears on C4 player….Boo!

    WGV?

I was thinking we could start out of town at the park and ride nr stcross.

From there, up through silkstead, Olivers Battery to Scout camp. Follow Bridleway to Crab Wood, and then skirt round the side of Sparsholt to West Woods. Play in there and either cirle round past Crawley, back down the A272 singletrack. One bad road climb to Olivers Battery again. Over to St Catherines and up to Cheesefoot, then cirle back to car park.

It’s one idea, but you could add to it…..
