Oh and the Wiggle stand was the most barren place out of all the shops. They always manage to find the most irrelevant bits to bring and sell.

+1 for all their good stuff they do online its clear they are pretty clueless when it comes to retailing at an event, mind you they did lend me a track pump once so they are helpful at least

in my experience in selling and buying cars, normally found the 2 year mark is the best time. most motor manufactures if not all will work their deals out to coincide with a car coming to its 2nd birthday, because this is not only the best age for used car stock but it also keeps you in the brand which is their no 1 priority.

12 months is normally the worst as many rental companies flood the market after 12 months and trading a car in after the three year mark isnt the best as the dealer cant claim for preperation costs under the car warranty

the 1.9 diesel is a bit rattly by nature, the dual mass flywheel could rattle if its on the way out but that would also be accompanied by vibration ( should be able to feel it through the gearlever) i would also check the tyres for uneven wear and get the car HPI checked for piece of mind.
other than that they are good cars my mates one is now on 220k with no probs

took the collie over with us to central europe, used eurotunnel which was really good as you can stay with them in the car for the 40 min journey. There were no checks in France either, you only need to declare the Pet when you return to UK.
By the way you only have to wait three weeks from rabies vaccination in UK to being given the all clear to travel

The worst is probably the BBC which seems to get updated twice a day, normally when im on route to a ride based upon their crappy report. **** that

i worked in office enviroments all my working life, about 20yrs.
six months ago i moved abroad and for a couple of months before my new job started i took it upon myself to self renovate an old house. Manual labour nearly broke me not just pysically but mentally too as i didnt find it intensive mentally and i got bored. So i think they are as hard as each other just in different ways…

garmin edge 705 – very durable bit of kit, and prevented me from getting lost many times

Deuter race backpack – now 6 years old, no splits no tears and all the zips still work. Comes out with me on all my off road rides

yes, had a 2012 29X2 for about six months now, probably ridden about 1500K with a few very muddy epics
The only problem ive had with the bike is with the rear shock, its got the monarch RT and the shock seems to jam a little when the floodgate is in the centre position (its like the fox pro-pedal) its works fine in either full on or full off. So i need to send it off really to be serviced but the bike is still perfectly rideabale.

So no other issues at all, mine came with a reba front fork which is brilliant and sooo smooth and sram drivetrain which i was initially wary of being a shimano man but its been fault free and i really like the positive shifting.

If i was to buy another (which i will sometime) id probably go for a fox suspension setup, simply because i do prefer the Fox rear shocks for smoothness as i had on my old Anthem x 26

Brilliant bikes

i can fit my xtc 29 in the boot of my mk7 se, but i removed the bars, forks, seatpost and wheels to do it. it didnt matter much to me as i was driving across europe and didnt want the bike showing for security but for a short trip would be a pain id imagine, you can get a bike in with front wheel off just with one of the split fold seats down no probs though

At rest stops, Bush was impatient to get going again. He’d pause, drink some Gatorade, chat, grin, bask in the endorphin rush, make a few jokes, and then hop back on his carbon frame Trek Superfly 100 Elite.

“Yah, baby!” he’d exclaim.

come on, weve all done it..havent we?

sorry but a dealer offering £8341 off a car points to the imminent death of a brand…

dont forget also to upgrade your car insurance too as fully comp insurance defaults to third party only when abroad in most cases,

With the breakdown cover i got it through my insurance company , direct line it was £167 for 3 months with all the benefits so wasnt too bad. id try your ins company defo worth a shot

if you fancy a trip over to rendelsham forest in suffolk you’ll be able to get close contact as they train the pilots over the old dissused airfield, if you go along the boundary fence on the northside you will be able to get within 100 meters of them hovering just s few meters off the ground , close enough for a downdraft blast at least

although technically i own more than one bike as im living abroad for sometime i only decided to take one with me, my anthem x. apart from the downhill tracks its covering all the bases for me, although going up a monster of a cat 3 road climb the other day with a 28lb full susser was hard work in places!!!

The tests aren’t targeted at STW readers who probably have up to seven bikes in their lairs, they are designed food people with an interest in MTB,s who would like advice on a good bike to buy. the clue is in the title ‘what mountain bike’ it ain’t no oracle and doesn’t pretend to be

Everything I’ve ever had from Altura has been excellent, relatively cheap, hardwearing and does it’s job well.

+1 , i swear by Altura clothing, my ascent shorts now on their 7th year with 000’s of miles, cant say the same of endura, northwave and gore….

[quoteFor balance, VW seem to be acquiring a reputation for half-arsed, take-it-or-leave-it aftersales (certainly true of our local dealer and according to my colleagues this is by no means unique among VW dealers).
Its a nationwide problem , the trouble is the volumes of the brand are overwhelming the dealer network and service is suffering.whilst most other brands (ford,Vauxhall) are downsizing brands like VW desperately need larger dealerships and service centres or more of them. Its happening now but will take time..

[quoteNice as they do look.

180bhp diesel is hardly remarkable.
I’d wait and see on that, even the 150 diesel is rapid. I’ll get some stats on the car. The insiders are saying the GTD is mind blowing on midrange acceleration

andypaul99

GTD is going to be a better bet. 184PS diesel…bye bye clutch!
