For 10k you can get a lovely 9-3 180 brake diesel estate with all the bells and whistles.

If i was going to be a Saab thats the one id buy, the TTID engine is fantastic, just get it checked over throuoghly though as that engine can eat clutches and that wouldnt be covered under a warranty either. If its an auto no need to worry but i dont think the drive is as good as the manual. Beware of those who tell you its a Vauxhall in drag, true there are some shared components but most of the car is exclusive and certain parts such as lamp units / trim / electric motors cost a fortune. Besides if the warranty on the car is to be honoured they will insist on genuine parts being fitted to the car during service.

[quoteIve got an eaqualy ,almost,bizzare/ridiculous sighting! An Osprey! In Litlle Lever,Bolton.[/quote]

To see an osprey is a real treat and bloody rare, ospreys can be mistaken for hen harriers which are a very similar size and colour. Both birds are supercool though

Oh and eat well. Diet makes a huge difference when training

Start your training with long steady rides to build your base fitness and then as the months and weeks progress you can start to build some speed with some shorter interval rides. I’m sure hammering until you puke works for Mr Hoy but doing it too early will either make you I’ll or injured. And most of all..Enjoy :D

The last of my 26ers went up for sale today, im just well and truly converted to the big wheels now. Had a ride yesterday on my 26 epic and couldnt wait to get off. i just prefer the way the 29 rides / steers / climbs. Im not convinced 29ers are that much quicker but im prepared to let that lie for a great ride 8)

no salesman ever start working in the industry as these so called hatred people, its the industry that makes them that way by paying them dixons money to sell extremely expensive goods. Unfortunately many of the really good have now left the car sales industry now and in many cases what you are left with are basically robots who are absolutely terrified of doing or saying the wrong thing, because they either end up on watchdog or get crucified on bike forums

Considering the ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ attitude, disorganisation and generally being shite displayed by our local VW franchise (and by reputation others not much further away) I find that slightly jaw-dropping. Are you sure you don’t work for VW?

VW have a target to be the top manufacture for customer service in the UK. They do take it very seriously indeed. If there is a VW dealer genuinely playing up tell em. trust me things will happen.

my golf did the same, it would only open from the inside. I left it assuming (wrongly) it would sort itself out somehow. It didnt and eventualy the door wouldnt open from the inside either.
The garage had to cut the door moulding from the inside and replace the locking unit. it cost £700. I would get it looked at ASAP, if i didnt leave it so long they could have got it fixed for £175.

[quoteI’ve never liked sales people. Especially never liked car salesmen. Clearly they have no morals, no conscience. If they did they wouldn’t be in car sales.[/quote

Both parts of your licence is mandatory, the photo card doesn’t give enough info regarding points or ban, you would be uninsured if anything would happen on the test drive. It is possible to do a dvla via phone but this may not have been possible on the weekends. As for the sales exec, I would have asked to speak with the sales manager and voiced your concerns

Its a good introduction to the concepts of cycle training but you have to be either super committed / single / unemployed to follow it to a tee I.e you need a lot of time OK n your hands. I just prefer to get out and ride when I feel like it. Training plans have made me hate cycling in the past

My deuter race is 6 years old now and although its a bit grubby there are no splits or wear. In contrast I’ve had to stitch my 4 year old camelback up several times. When I replace the deuter it will be with another deuter

Giant xtc composite, I’ve got a 2013 composite0. Had to wait ages for it but well worth the wait. Handles like a dream, quick steering even with the very wide bars it came with. Mine weighs 25lb, a wheel change would save a pound or so but I don’t think you could make this super light without serious cash. If you’re a weight weenie the xtc advanced does offer a lighter frame. I am really pleased with the xtc though. Best thing I’ve bought in a long time

corsadyl will kill the bacteria causing the pain as should TCP, but try corsadyl first. get the original rather than the daily which is watered down. its recommended by most dentists – its only a tempoary fix though

no turning back for me , im absolutely lovin the 29 experience and getting back on the 26 is starting to feel strange. im going to split my last 26 now and going to look towards a spesh camber to compliment my 29er hardtail. Although it genuinely brings a lump to my throat i can only see the future as 29 and 650b

I don’t really remember much of the last couple of miles as I was properly in the pain cave and doing an awful lot of shouting.

Come on – everybody knows that elites feel no pain, you guys are just machines

been out for a good few runs with the speedcross 3’s – great traction on the dirt, much less so on tarmac / concrete sections where the grip is truly awful – the treads do flex a fair amount. Ive also noticed wear already on the grips after probably 40 or so miles…

they are also supposed to be waterproof, but are absolutely hopeless at keeping your feet dry.

They would probably be ok for a race though, but i just cant live with them.

I just couldnt recomend them im afraid, ive gone back to my old nike trail shoes that cost me all of £35.

They would probably be ok for a race though, but i just cant live with them.

Anybody who continues to train has a form of ocd in my book.
