[quotecan someone explain to me why a lot of xc riders wear tights/leggings. i saw a lot today in thetford
Nothing strange about Lycra, but I do find it odd when I see riders on the trails with orange fives, full face helmets and body armour at Thetford…now that is strange

[quoteSome people don’t care about the customer service, no matter how useless, if they can pick up (what they think is) a bargain.
Maybe, but if the customer service is poor sometimes it points to standards throughout the business. I really like canyon bikes but I’m still nervy about putting my hard earned cash into one :?

I quite like that diamondback, looks a bit like the old Meta 5. The Giant just looks wrong.

the diamondback looks like a 2005 model specialized

Who the hell buys enough Amy MacDonald records to afford her 3 Audi R8s, two Ferraris plus whatever else she has. Mind boggling. I thought the record industry was dead and no one makes any money nowadays???

I doubt they were paid cash for. You can get most Supercars on short term lease deals with specialist finance houses. That said it would probably still be about 2K per month, but i guess she can cover that.

[quoteI had a raleigh night burner, which i ‘modified’. Had acorn freestylers (wheels) which were just cheap skyways, but looked cool. Bought a bmx last week, and feel like I am 15 again
Had pictures of the night burner on my bedroom wall (next to Sam fox ) adored the colour scheme on that bike. Bert an original is worth a mint now…

What are the advantages of 69ers anyway? (Genuine question)

    andypaul99

I have these wheels on my XTC composite 29, i was quite suprised how light they feel and the bearings run pretty smoothly. On the downside they do feel a little fragile and flexy (its my 1st 29er so may have something to do with it) which is noticable on a bend at speed. Oh and they mark easliy, doesnt seem like there is much paint on them.
But overall for a factory wheelset they arent that bad really.

[quoteFinance commission is what they want.

Yep. Do a finance deal with them at a horrendous rate. Make one payment and settle, this is your legal right. Its the best way to do a deal on the price of the car. The transaction manager will not be bothered on how much they sell the car for as long as he (thinks) is getting as good dfinance deal for himself

…er, yes they do. The government are the elected representatives of the people. i.e. you and me. Assuming you use your vote of course…

Yes we vote for the party based upon its manifesto / what they say they they stand for….at NO point did the Conservatives and Lib Dems say they were going to sell of the forests for goodness sake?

Its sounds like you are sticking up for them johnellison?

Great news. The Goverment has absolutely no right to sell OUR forests… i have however noticed there is far more felling going on. One of my local haunts has masive areas of forest that has been flattened.

could be bacause you felt particularly strong and just pushed yourself harder. but just also could be a sign of slight overtraining as your legs may be writing cheques your heart cant cash! i would take your resting heatrate first thing in the morning for a few days if that seems unusually high i would take a week off the bike ( you could still do some very light spinning) through bitter experience id always take the rest option as a week off will make bugger all difference to your training

[quotethe vehicle preparation costs could be around £500 (servicing, removing dents, etc).
And the rest we spend £500 prepping a polo. Main agents will / have to spend a mint preparing used cars, as used car customers generally expect new car condition and mechanical prep can also be colossal esp if it needs a major service and tyres etc. If you put 3k across a used car you may end up with £700 after VAT, factor in advertising costs and overheads and you get a lot less. This is the reason that dealers have such high targets. Low volume = no profits.

Polo blue motion, new shape from a vw dealer should be around the 10k with less than 20k, defo worth a drive. Skoda fabia green line is another option for a grand or so less. Both great small cars

Fortunately for you, there are people who are interested in the physics of bikes, which is why today’s bikes are so enjoyable to ride.
I like the guy, he seems pretty down to earth on Interviews I’ve seen. Thing is though long way round and long way down were brilliant because you got the impression they wanted to do it. Whereas with Charlys solo efforts I get the impression its more of a job he is getting paid for. And yes that Russ is a prick

Trouble with me is the more bling I buy the less I actually ride my bike for fear of breaking something or even scratching it. In the past I’ve spent £130 on a seat post, did it make a difference?…maybe. Was it a waste of money?…definitely. Maybe I’m loosing the mojo but I’m a strong believer now of replacing things when they wear out :?
