I feel your pain here OP! Our 4 year old border collie isn’t great with other dogs so is always walked on the lead to try and avoid problems. The number of people who assume that all dogs like other dogs winds me up something rotten! I’ve given up waiting for people to call their dogs or come over to get them, if my dog goes for theirs, tough luck, they should be controlling their pets!
Never ridden it, but I’m reliably informed Torridon is the best trail riding in the UK. As and when I get my trail bike I’ll be making the journey up there!
All sorts around for that price, new or second hand. I’m looking to spend about the same as you, think I’ve narrowed it down to a Giant Trance 2 when they come out in March, or a Canyon if I buy new…second hand is a minefield, so much on offer!
The El Guapo tempted me, but Planet X’s lack of interest in taking £1650 off me made me look elsewhere!
I rang a couple of weeks ago to ask about one of their Titus bikes as the info I wanted wasn’t on their website. Can’t remember the blokes name, but some of the info he knew, the rest he just guessed I think. Sent an email instead to confirm in writing what spec some of the parts were so I had it in black and white, not heard anything back in nearly 2 weeks. I wouldn’t mind, but the automated email said they should reply within 24 hours or 72 hours if they’re busy.
Taking my business elsewhere for important things. I’ll still use them for socks and cheap bits though…
Contrary to the thoroughly helpful first reply, I’ve been running SRAM on my downhill bike for 18 months with no issues whatsoever, and it’s taken a right battering! As for changing the cable you’ve got it spot on. Make sure you don’t take the shifter to bits at all, they’re a nightmare to put back together again!
Since Down-O-Matic owners are about, anyone know where to pick up cheap replacement visors? Cracked mine at Inners SDA last year, it’s bodge taped up at the mo, but I wouldn’t mind a new one! Just that £22 on CRC, seems a bit steep when the helmet itself is only £100.
They make a half decent temporary sling if you/a mate nadges an arm/collar bone etc. Also good for “towing” on a group if someone is really struggling and you need to get them home/to a coffee and cake shop pronto!
If she was going past the truck on the right as it turned left then the cyclist is at fault, surely?
Common sense dictates that a lorry making a tight turn might swing out to the side to help make the turn. Since she was performing an overtaking manoeuvre when it wasn’t safe to do so, she is at fault.
