+1 Aldi gloves. Better than the Fox Antifreeze that cost 7 times more. They do look cack though!

Just received the North Face Nuptse slippers as shown above. Warm, comfortable, don’t fall off and have grip on the sole. Recommended.

Just bought two shotguns with 8 rounds each and an alleged 75ft range. Expect local hunger games if you visit my house!

Sounds good. What is the optimum cheese to comb ratio? 🙂

+1 ODI Rogues. Nice and thick and they get stickier the more you use them.

Bought a Datura from On-one for £9.99 and I’m impressed. 2.2 mud and wet conditions tyre, spike tread pattern, sticky compound, tubeless ready and thick sidewalls. 850g ish. May be a bit much for what you are doing but I have it on the back of my c456 evo and it’s fine. Such a bargain I bought another and a DHEA for downhill duties. Worth a punt at that price.

Got a Maxxis Beaver for sale if anyone wants it. Only used once. 2.0 wire bead 26″. Live a couple of miles from Minley. £10 (excuse my shameless sales ploy :-))

5’11 with short legs and an 18 fits me well.

Rode both loops the other week. Have to say we were all very pleased with the new sections of trail. Made a welcome change from the puddles and stream beds which make up the rest of Penmachno!

Just got some of the new Dmr V12’s. Only marginally smaller than my Vaults, same nice concave shape and masses of grip. I got the standard ones at around 430g but the mag ones are about 80g less and half the price of Vaults. Recommended.

It would have to be part of my first ever trip to the Alps. Pila to Aosta following Stevo from the White Room. An insanely good run. Only about 16 mins but the highlight of my mtb year 🙂

Had a go on a mates Pro. Extremely slack and plush. Climbed very well. Seemed to stiffen when you start pointing uphill. Very impressive.

Update. Did both loops of Penmachno yesterday in glorious sunshine. Still the wettest ride I have been on! Found loop one much more enjoyable than 2. There are two new smooth “motorway” sections in loop one which were great fun and welcome relief from streams and puddles 🙂 . Went to the Indian restaurant recommended above and it was indeed excellent. Forgot to ask about the link trail at Stiniog. Stiniog was very good in spite of very poor conditions. I was enjoying it immensely until my crash on the bottom of the black run finished my day!!!

Thanks for the replies. I’ll discuss it with the lads and look to do a combination of the two trails I think. Looking forward to it.

Cheers guys. I’ll try and ask at Antur and there’s an excellent chance I’ll give that curry house a go!

Thanks Op. Just found a pair in my local TK in my size, black with blue. Even had the spare laces with them. Bargain!

Not officially tubeless ready but set up tubeless very easily for me on Flow Ex. No issues at all so far and I’ve been running the front for months. Before that had them on a Nomad on Flows. Also fine.

First ride this week with CM front and rear on the C456 Evo. Didn’t find it noticeably cumbersome and it gave great grip, climbing and cornering. I’ll certainly be leaving it on the rear for a bit. Was running a Racing Ralph but now the mud has returned it was too slippery!

The sole came off. Fairly catastrophic for the shoe. I’ll try to use smaller words for you next time. 🙂
