I’m 5’11 with a 30inch inside leg. I have a medium coming from france as it appears similar to the 456 evo in length. Wrecker you are making me feel better about my choice. I am aiming for long and low with good standover. It arrives tomorrow so fingers crossed. Couldn’t resist buying blind for the bargain price 🙂

Jusy ordered a Reign. Couldn’t resist at that price. Anybody want to buy a 2010 Nomad mk 2 in large 🙂

You’ve always ridden timed downhill stages with marshalls on a taped course???

Thoroughly enjoyed dominating the back of the field in the events I have done this year. (including the one in the OP).

Quite a different experience to a non-timed, non-competitive ride. I would recommend it to anyone, particularly the PMBA series.

M666 for slx and M785 for Xt.
No idea on the latest ones. You can use any rotors that are the right size 🙂

Superstar Ultra Mags, very lightweight and grippy. Failing that the new style DMR v12’s are similar to vaults but much cheaper. Might be worth checking the classifieds…… 🙂

I had this decision to make recently and decided to get my RP23 push tuned. The key consideration is that a push tuned shock is tuned to your requirements, your weight, bike, riding style etc. A new stock shock may not offer the same improvement. Mine is on a mk2 Nomad and I am very happy with the results.
Edit – the push internals allow more oil flow which should reduce the amount of heat build up.

Got a -2 degree works on my Mk2 Alu Nomad. Been very happy with it. Noticed the bottom bearing was showing premature corrosion after 3 months. Sent works a photo and they identified it as part of a batch they had to use which were not their normal supplier. Sent me out a full set of bearings free of charge. Very good service in my opinion.

I’m in the process of killing a monster Ivy bush on my fence. I cut all the main trunks/stems, drilled them and poured neat weedkiller in. After a week the leaves are starting to turn brown. It takes time but seems to be working…..
    Edit
To answer your question, that seems plenty just give it some time to see the effects.

I used InPost which is a locker drop off delivery service. £10 fully insured. I was very impressed with the service. 3-5 days delivery though.

Just as a bit of an up to date input, I got back from the White Room last week and we didn’t ride St Foy at all as the bus uplift isn’t running. You may need to check if this is the case all summer. Even with their own minibus and trailer this was deemed to make St Foy problematic. The area in general is fantastic though 🙂

Had a Mk 2 alu for the last 2 years. Great all rounder. I put works components -2 degree slackset in about 6 months ago to “modernise” it. Even better on the descents now and no great compromise when climbing. Just awaiting a set of Marzocchi 55s to replace my slants ready for the Alps. 🙂

Great day yesterday. The mud was ridiculous in places. I spent 20 seconds at the bottom of Stage 3 with my bike stuck under a tree! I didn’t come last though so achieved my lofty goal for the day. I’ll try to get on one later in the year where the mud might not be bb deep! 🙂

Watch PayPal they apply their own exchange rate which is often expensive. You can manually select that they use your linked bank account exchange rate which is usually better. Was about £20 difference when I bought my Pikes. Lots of info on Money Saving Expert.

Cheers. Hoping for better weather this year. Pouring down most of the week last year. Had to head over the col to Italy to escape it.

The White Room 11th-18th July. Second time out there after barely scratching the surface last year. Should be superb again. Don’t make a mess Cardo! 🙂

Quick update. -2° headset fitted perfectly by Peter Poddy. Bike feels great. Took a little getting used to on fast bermed descents but once I changed body position slightly it was ace. Very confidence inspiring on the downs and no perceptible handling issues climbing or on the flat. All in all a decent update for a frame with older geometry.

Heresy! 🙂 They are a superb Mtb chalet / guiding company based in that area . They also do skiing and boarding in the winter.
They are actually just above Bourg St.Maurice but they will be able to advise on Tignes.

Got a c456 evo with 150mm pikes on. Very stiff rear which takes a bit of getting used to given my other bike is 165mm rear travel. It’s not super light for a carbon frame but it feels bombproof. I agree that it gets better the faster you ride it. I like the long top tube, low standover and slack headangle too.

I picked up a set of the 777mm knuckle balls in hard for £39.99 at the end of last year. I’m very impressed with them. Very nice finish, stiff and reasonably light. I had a big off at Stiniog which had me off work for 2 weeks. The bars were completely unscathed.
