Just put a Hans Dampf (Evo, Trailstar) on the front of my Trance to replace a High Roller (60a). The HD is bigger, grips better, rolls just as well and is 100g lighter. Plus it has Snakeskin sidewalls. Thoroughly recommended. 🙂

    Well said Ernie.

Having re-read the OP i wouldn’t say the Hans is fast rolling. But i don’t find it drags and it’s 100g lighter than the wire bead High Roller i had on.

Hans Dampf 2.35 Evo in Trailstar compound. Just swapped out a HR 60A on the front to one of these and it grips better while rolling just as well. Higher volume too. Recommended.

And so you should Boblo? How patronising. What do you? Because I voice my concerns about my pay and conditions being decimated I’m a cynical malcontent?

    No longer the case however!!!

Also i am now planning for the future based on the changes. The police service and the public will lose out as many skilled officers look to do the same. I think that that is rather a shame.

Sure not everyone. However most I know joined for altruistic reasons but the job can turn people cynical very quickly.

It’s not a free lunch. I’ve paid 11% of my earnings for 11 years and sacrificed an untold amount mentally, emotionally and physically. I’d be interested to know what you do for a living. You have no idea about policing.

If you haven’t done the job you have no idea what it really involves. We have to run towards situations that Everyone else is running away from. Tell a mother their son is dead. Give mouth to mouth to a traffic accident casualty, comfort the girl that has just been raped, stop the mentally ill person killing themselves on a roof, roll over the body that has rotted for months to make sure they weren’t stabbed in the back, take on the gunman unarmed because armed support is too far away and a complete stranger is in danger, grab the dangerous dog, fight a crowd of hooligans hell bent on injuring you without using excessive force. Etc etc. We joined because we wanted to do something worthwhile and help others in society. All we are asking for, irrespective of what is happening to others, is what we signed up to. We can stomach paying more than 11% for our pensions or working longer or getting less. But not all three on top of pay freezes and budget cuts. It’s excessive given what we sacrifice and are prepared to sacrifice every day for strangers and society as a whole.

I have a Trance X3 2011. The overdrive 2 is wider at the bottom of the tapered steerer not the top. The fork steerer will take a standard stem. I upgraded to a Raceface Atlas stem at 70mm and Atlas AM bars at 725mm. The bike feels great and handles superbly. The stock stem is far too long and the bars just a little narrow. However front wheel washouts are probably more down to technique as said. Build it up slowly adding speed as you session a corner, experimenting with putting more weight forward. Trust yourself and your bike and you’ll get there.

Had one for about 6 months now. Very good for chain retention and reducing chain slap.

The top plastic bracket did snap on mine but Roger at Bionicon UK replaced it free of charge. Apparently that part has now been re-designed to be stronger. He also recommended adding a third zip tie across the middle to reduce stress and improve durability.

All in all a good product and very good customer service from Bionicon.

No. I am actually saying what I actually wrote. It is an explanation of when police can use force and nothing else.

Are you actually saying you actually know what another person was feeling? In a situation that you were not in?

Silly when people put words in your mouth isn’t it?

120 plus arrests can not be a lawful protest can it?

Police do not arrest immediately during public order scenarios as it can inflame the situation and reduces officers on the ground.

I am completely neutral politically and religiously 🙂

Wrecker. I’m not saying that you are wrong per se

I just don’t think we can assume things we don’t know about.

Don’t get me wrong, that copper should never have been on the streets and Tomlinson was not posing a threat to my mind. But it’s not my opinion that matters in court!

The above post was for Ernie!

    Wrecker

Not sure why you have quoted me. I was explaining that there was a riot. At no time did I make any assertion regarding the level of threat posed by Tomlinson. Nor did I suggest that the presence of a riot gave police the right to use force. I agree police must operate within the law.

Ernie had tried to make out that the police were operating in an environment of lawful protest and nothing else. Are you agreeing with that? Police can use reasonable force in given circumstances based on their honestly held belief of the the threat posed or danger they are in. It is down to the individual to justify it and the judge and jury to decide if they were right or wrong. They have decided, whilst in possession of all relevant facts allowed under our current legal system.

As IRC rightly says – End of.

    Ernie

The definition of riot is 10 or more people acting together, unlawfully, with a common purpose in a given area.

An incident is not formally termed a riot unless absolutely necessary as under statute this bestows certain obligations on government (total cost of damage for instance). Below riot, you have violent disorder and the public order incidents. None of these have any link to whether or not a demonstration is going on.

There is no question that a riot took place that day. Hence your statement, assessing whether or not there was a riot from what you saw of it, is ridiculous. Unless of course you have some expertise in this area or were actually there.

Perhaps bring some facts to the table instead of left wing anti-police prejudices.

No. But I’m not on here quoting them and saying people are wrong. 😆

April 2009: Further post-mortem tests find cause of death was abdominal bleeding, caused by blow

Source? Also, what blow? The blow to the head, the blow when he hit the pavement? There has to be a causal link between the assault and the cause of death.
