For properly cold i have some Fox Antifreeze which have been excellent. In fact, a little too warm if anything!

I’ve got some Endura Dexter’s which I use as my intermediate glove. They are marked as windproof and have worked well in pretty cold weather and keep most of the rain out.

Good mate. Whinlatter was quality at Xmas. Did all of it for the first time. The South loop descent was superb. Well worth a trip and the cafe is decent for lunch too.

Yeah it’s all subjective. The new Swoopy is great. We usually park at the pub, do a few loops of the Hope line then do the top half and finish with the Swoopy or more Hope line.

I would try the top at some point lancslad then you will know which you prefer!

In short – far more interesting!

The top loop is rockier and more technical than the bottom. It’s also more fun in my opinion. Just do the whole thing mate.

    +1 for Henry.

Went from a Dyson to a Henry and it blows (sucks!) it out of the water.

Hopefully they will give you a development plan and an opportunity to improve. It shouldn’t be straight to dismissal or failed probation if this is the first you have heard of this so called poor performance. Believe in yourself and ask for the opportunity. Good luck.

Just got a front and rear Phaart Strap on from On-One. Knog Frog copies with two Leds in each. Very good for very little money. (cue strap-on jokes :-))

Definitely raise it with supplier. Similar thing happened with my brother when he bought a Stumpjumper. Specialized sent him a paint touch up kit and authorised a credit note for about £50 at the shop he got it from which bought him a new helmet. You have nothing to lose. Just don’t worry if you don’t get a result.

What I said is correct. Your advice is nonsense. I don’t need to have been there to comment on your advice.

    You are indeed simple.

Onceinalifetime does your name refer to the frequency with which you post good advice?

Refuse to speak to a copper who may have reasonable suspicion of an offence and you can look forward to wasting several hours at the local station.

Copper does sound like a tool in this case but we have but one side of the story……..

    I’m interested in this too.

Just bought a Fox Float RLC FIT 140mm set of forks for my trance but decided against kashima due to the extra cost. Have I made a foul mistake or prudent saving??? 🙂

Step-Dad used to have geese on his land. Fox got into a fairly protected enclosure and took the heads off about five of them. Scarily precise and not a scrap eaten. They do it for fun. Could well have been a fox.

Ah they must be different ones then. Mine are a recent purchase and are all one colour. Couldn’t understand how anyone could describe the socks I have as thick 🙂

+1 filbrose 4 pairs ordered! Even if they are only half decent they are a bargain at that price.

    Cheers

The Baa Baas are see-through in places. How can that be pretty thick??? They are the thinnest socks I have ever owned. What do you wear in the summer? Pop socks? 🙂

De Feet Woolie Boolies Merino. Just bought some after using Giro Merino, Endura Baa Baa and Endura Coolmax.

The Baa Baas are comically thin. The Woolie Bullies are nice and thick and come in a variety of cuff lengths. Highly recommended. (Bought from Wiggle for about £12)

I had a postie leave a “sorry you weren’t in” card, when I was sat waiting for delivery. This happened on two occasions at my old house. Complaint lodged but never got a result. Spoke to my bro who works for RM. Apparently the less honest posties carry out this practice as it generates overtime for the re-deliveries.

No wonder RM is struggling as an organisation.

No. IMO the possibility of injury both from ill fitting spds and failure to unclip far outweighs the minor efficiency gain. As above you will not improve your issues using spds.

Just got a pair of AM41’s as a second pair of shoes for when my Impacts are drying out! If you decide to go for them I suggest going half a size up if possible. I usually take 9’s but they were out of stock so I went for the 9 1/2. On receiving them they fit perfectly. I bought them as they are lighter than the 5 10’s and a bit more weather proof / less like a sponge 🙂

edit – and the Merlin price is a bargain at the moment.

It’s a horrible situation but with dog’s previous behaviour you can’t take the risk. You have to think which would be worse, dog gone (whatever way you end up deciding) or daughter scarred for life or worse. It has to be the former I’m afraid. I have two kids under 3 and a dog we have had for years. You have my sympathies.

Reverb. Worked perfectly out of the box for 1 year. Just clean and lube after each ride.

Had a great ride in the mud yesterday. Hit a patch at speed and only realised it was a foot and a half deep when I stopped dead and half went OTB 🙂

Took a few minutes to extract the bike but other than that it was great fun.

Never had any of that. Found it to be a good service. Only drawbacks are no call forwarding and no 3G tethering IIRC. Big bonus is 12 month contracts so you can switch to a sim only with whoever you want after 12 months.
