    34″ inside leg, 18″ inbred, 400mm post. If my legs were 2″ shorter I could use a 350mm post, but they’re not so I can’t.

    You’ll get 29 x 2.4″ in a 440mm fork, in fact that would fit in a 420mm fork too.

    700 x 37 fits in rear of 26″ Inbred.

    If you fit 35mm front and rear you’ll raise BB a bit, maybe 1/2″ compared to 26 x 2.3″.

    Forgot to say …. on that Galaxy set up you can put forearm / elbow on grips and hands at front of bar ends for a sort of Tri bar set up.

    I’m tempted to try my Galaxy bar set up on mine.

    It’s a Humpert Moon Cruiser bar Ton. Practical Cycles have a good range of bars (though I don’t think they have the Moon Cruiser);

    I must admit to a chequered bike history :-) Each one intended to be the ONE at the time. Settled down now to a Yuba Cargo, old Galaxy and a couple of 26″ Inbreds, one for commute, one for off road. Though I couldn’t quite resist a 29er Inbred as my current project. I had one of the first sliding dropout ones, not sure why, but I’d forgotten just how much I like them.

    Titec version of Jones bars or Mary bars off road as all the moving around keeps weight off hands. Longer non technical rides I quickly suffer if there’s much weight on hands so i have a couple of combinations;

    Both give plenty of hand positions including upright and comfy or forward (and with the cruiser bars down too) for a change or head wind.

    Arguably both give up aesthetic beauty for functional excellence!

    They are DMR chaintug / mech hangers, list price is about £20 a pack. I’ve just got some for an Inbred 29er SS frame. They should take a 10mm bolt through as they are for 10mm axle. Might be a length issue as they effectively make the dropouts significantly thicker, so probably best to check with DMR.

    I’ve had a couple. I think the flexiness is the nature of the beast. It was great for non-living loads, but it was too much for me with a 7 and 8 year old aboard, especially as they move about a bit. If they’d been younger in child seats it would have been easier. I also wasn’t keen on the conversion BB height as it made harder to balance with a load at stops and starts.

    I’ve moved on to a Yuba which is more solid. Though it weighs about 10lb more.

    What size tyre have you up front if you haven’t got one already a Big Apple 2.35 might slow steering down a bit.

    They are heavier, but I just adjust expectations and accept slower speeds uphill.

    Well done you.

    I haven’t got what it takes to go cold turkey and have taken a painless route. Not had a cigarette in over 4 weeks after shifting over to e-cig vaping. So, still a nicotine addict but feeling so much better for not smoking.

    Good luck.

    Except the enabler fork is longer than the Surly one and the Fortitude is designed around 445mm fork. It might be fine, but geo wise would be same as fitting sus fork.

    Would a Surly Rabbit Hole / 29 x 3 Knard combination fit a 26″ / 445mm fork? Being bigger diameter it would still slacken angles a bit (0.75 degree?), but might give more cush up front without the weight penalty of 26″ x 4″ set up. Could try with Rabbit hole rimmed wheel and 2.4″ tyre to start with as with wider rim you could run lower pressure.

    Alini, yes and no. The other variable along with length is the fork offset. ’26″‘ forks 440-445mm usually have 41-43mm offset. “29er” forks 465-470mm usually have 45-47mm offset (though some have more at 55mm).

    Longer fork will slacken head (and seat angles) by about 1 degree per inch extra length which slows down steering. More offset should quicken handling. The BB will also be about 1/2 the extra fork length higher.

    Shorter fork / less offset reverses those effects.

    This is simplistic as changing the angles also affects uphill and downhill handling. You might as well start close to the original design and make changes from there. So for Inbred 29er that would be 470mm with 47mm offset. (unless of course you already have something in which case you might as well try it before buying something else :) )

    I really wanted to like the Swift, the finish is certainly better and they just look right, but I preferred the feel of my Inbred 29er. The Singular forks are better than On-one rigids though.

    So if you can I’d try before you buy.

    MM that’s good to hear as I’m just about to build my Inbred 29er frame with Salsa 445 cromotos that I already have

    andyh2

    Might be worth trying a different rigid fork. I found Salsa cro moto and Singular Gryphon / Hummingbird rigid forks significantly more comfortable than On-one and Surly 1×1 or Karate Monkey cromo forks(latest version of KM fork might be different) .

    I think the Salsa / Singular forks are about 100-150g lighter than the On-one or Surly ones.

    Stick with 18″ for 29er. It will give you same ETT as 26″, but be a bit higher at the front end, which you’re after.

    Another alternative to look at is the vivobarefoot range for something with no drop, feel the ground but still be protected, look normal.

    The cinnamint does have a cinnamon flavour, personally I’d have preferred stronger cinnamon taste and less sweetness to it, but I still like it.

    That’s what my batteries seemed to be doing, but in my case it was the clearomiser not the battery causing the problem. I tried the vid method, but my pliers aren’t fine enough. Overcame the problem by pushing the tube down from the top after unscrewing the head (this bit here; http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-ego-rainbow-v3-spare-heads-%28long-wick%29~390 )

    To be honest I’m a bit disappointed in the faff factor. I’ve found that the silver bands that are top and bottom of the clearomiser come off when cleaned in boiling water, so I’m gluing those on after cleaning and drying. Likewise the threaded part of the tip. I’ll just give new ones a wipe rather than the boiling water treatment. Also the flavours seem better if I keep the clearomiser fairly full. Sometimes the taste goes off as it empties.

    I guess it’s a bit like bike maintenance in that once you know what and when to do it it’s fine, but getting to that stage can be frustrating at times.

    Still much better than smoking though :)

    SG a couple of my Vision Ego clearomisers seemed not to work even though the battery seemed to be charged. I tried my spares and they seemed to work fine. There’s a vid here which shows what might be an issue and I’m going to try this to see if it helps before I give up on them;
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osjv6MNHGkg

    Flavour wise from Vape escape I alternate between HS Delight (tobacco flavour) and HS Menthol sensation. I like the Decadent Vapours mentholyptus too. With both I up the menthlness by adding a menthol crystal to the juice before putting in clearomiser.

    Quite like the Grizewalds Black Cat tobacco flavour.

    Quite like Dec Vap Cinnamint and Grizewalds Hypnotique too for a non menthol or tobacco change.

    Didn’t like the HS Storm or Grizewalds Golden Burginia tobacco flavours. It really is a suck it and see process of finding which flavours work for you.

    Good luck, it’s great compared to smoking isn’t it>

    Much lower than that for family credit / WTC. I think that £50k-£60k refers to child benefit which used to not be means tested.

    It’s a pretty complicated system with several variables, income, hours worked, age, partner, no. and ages of children.

    Probably worth going to HMRC calculator here;
    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/payments-entitlement/entitlement/question-how-much.htm
    and checking on your particular situation.

    Not sure of the thresholds now (separate ones for WTC and family tax credit) but it used to be roughly above £25k and you get nowt and below that you might be able to get something with max amounts being paid out at around £7k. Between the 2 you’d lose something like 41p in the £1 which added to income tax and NI gives an effective tax rate of about 74p in the £1 which doesn’t give a lot of incentive for folk to improve their position unless they can jump up to above around £25k.

    Don’t know why they couldn’t just increase personal allowances and let people decide for themselves how much to work and how many kids to have etc, but that’s a whole other discusion.

    An Inbred designed for 26″ x 3″ tyres and 1 x ? drivetrain.

    And a selection of 3″ tyres weighing less than 1kg and costing less than £50.

    Could also be run 650b with ‘normal’ size tyres and 2 or 3 x drivetrain.

    I’m also hoping a Surly Knard 29×3 would fit the 445 fork, which would put geometry back closer to standard, rather than slackening it as it would with standard fork.

    Thanks for those links, I think the info in them confirms your summary JE.

    The question arose a I’ve just ordered an Inbred 29er frame and was trying to find a Salsa Cromoto 29er fork in stock (without success so far) and began to wonder if it’s worth trying the Salsa 445mm fork I’ve already got.

    I reckon I’ll give it a try, I might like it, if not I can always get the longer version later.
    Thanks

    B.A.Nana I think my kits came with 2.4ohm coil, what’s the pros / cons of a lower resistance one. I’d quite like an easier draw does lower resistance one give that?

    A VERY BIG THANK YOU for the information in this thread.

    Ordered a couple of deluxe kits from Vapescape just before Xmas. Arrived last Thu, Started using Thu eve and both wife and I have had no cigs at all. Both of us previously on 25-30 a day, me for 37 years :(.

    I have been really (very happily) surprised at how I’m completely uninterested in cigs now. Baccy’s been sitting in cupboard untouched.

    After just a couple of days I noticed that horrible gurgling catch when breathing in deeply has all but gone.

    Might try some other flavours but so far alternating between the HS Delight (it really does taste the way a newly opened packet of B&H smells) and Menthol sensation have been doing me fine. Hopefully my re-stock of e-liquid will be here tomorrow, as whilst I quite like the Decadent Vapours Cinnamint I preferred the others.

    Can’t see myself ever going back to cigs. Bloody marvelous THANK YOU.

    What do you reckon compared to your Inbred 29er?

    My Inbred has same length headtube and with 210mm steerer. I’ve got 48mm spacers + stem so you’ll have plenty of space.

    edit: You have a Horses Mouth answer in the time it’s taken to measure.

    They do salopettes in K2 (karisma) fabric. I’ve got some of their Ranger and Atlas trousers and they’ve been great. If I remember correctly you give some measurements when ordering so fit is assured. Not certain, but I think they might be UK made as well.

    There’s info about penalties on the HMRC site.

    I’m no tax expert, but I expect they have software that trawls forums and flags up questions like this so they can narrow their search down and know who to chase.

    Might be that forum owners have some obligation to report if they think a crime is being / has been committed.

    “I think that successfully chasing the money Lance made is vital. That will be an important element in the process of deterring others from doping. It fraud (sponsors and public) and theft (from non dopers)”

    should that include all the profits the sponsors made on the back of those wins?
