Sold my 1080p Panasonic plasma and bought a 4k HDR LG 43″. Kinda preferred the plasma because of the deep blacks. HDR just makes the whites bright LCD’s still struggle with deep black. Bring on big OLED TVs..
Did my CBT last year and A licence in July. Was going to get a Suzuki SV650 or Yamaha MT07 but ended up with a 16 plate Triumph Street Triple R 675. Loving the smooth 3 cylinder engine.
My Pendle is simple bikes simply strap on with 3 straps. Wheel supports are easy to offset. Plenty of space between burly bikes without any need for protection.
Dare I say that the brand x dropper is just as good as a reverb. Ok so the lever is a bit wobbly but a bontrager dropline lever at £17 fixes that. Sell your old reverb for £100 + and you got a whole new 1x dropper for less than a rever 1x lever and with 2 yrs warranty.
Dont forget the noise issue either. Stiff RF tyres transit a lot of noise. A 330d m sport touring on 19s is not a quiet car. Bridgestone S001. Changed to goodyear much better noise levels.
Also get tge dealer to code the start stop function to “last setting”. Its crap having to disable the SS every time you get in the car.
I’ve used and seen both. 30x slightly nicer screen but you don’t really notice, think it has better SD card support but thats about it.
if you’ve got a ’30 then a ’30x is not enough of an upgrade.
I went for an Oregon 700 for a bigger screen. Miss the proper buttons when on the MTB and the battery life is noticeably shorter. Much better interface though.
I’m 5’11 and slung a leg over a mates large CR Honzo with a 70mm stem and it felt too big for me. Very long. Look at the top tube lengths or reach compared to bikes you know.
I ride a 19.5″ (18.5″ actual?) trek stache with a 640mm top tube and 35mm stem. Spot on.
Yes “In Stock” item was not in stock. No notification just had to cancel after got bored of waiting. Potential £30 saving on a Monarch rear shock. Would not bother again.
Pendle, typically British, basic but very configurable. Get n+1 version, i.e. for 2 bikes buy a 3 bike version and fit 2 positions. This spaces the bikes out and avoids rub.
Buy a Pendle 4 bike rack and only fit 3 positions. Plenty of space without bikes touching. Really quick to attach if you can tolerate the bolted on towball adapter.
Excess insurance doesn’t work when your scammed for minor fair wear and tear issues. Lost €250 though goldcar on a tiniest mark on the bonnet of a very tired Yaris in Tenerife.
As a matter of an update, the Skoda dealer with authorisation from Skoda UK, is going to fully repair the car at their cost and give us documentation that the original paintwork and corrosion warranties are intact.
My wife much time on the phone sorting this and remained calm throughout so much kudos to her!
