That listing says they’re broken, a whole load of them all with the same fault?

Interesting, the listing has totally changed, not even the same product anymore.   Going through my internet history, even the sellers page is gone.

    Thanks All

Sold my 1080p Panasonic plasma and bought a 4k HDR LG 43″. Kinda preferred the plasma because of the deep blacks. HDR just makes the whites bright LCD’s still struggle with deep black. Bring on big OLED TVs..

Saying that 4k is work having for HDR alone.

Did my CBT last year and A licence in July.  Was going to get a Suzuki SV650 or Yamaha MT07 but ended up with a 16 plate Triumph Street Triple R 675. Loving the smooth 3 cylinder engine.

Park Poole side of the ferry and cycle over. The return queues can be very long. There is free on street parking about 1.5 miles away.

    Try this for a route

Just wondering what the quality comparison us between Blu-ray on 1080tv and 4k on 4k TV.

4k is 4x the resolution of 1080 blu ray. 2x no lines and 2x no columns of pixels

My Pendle is simple bikes simply strap on with 3 straps. Wheel supports are easy to offset.  Plenty of space between burly  bikes without any need for protection.

    Agricultural but effective.

Dare I say that the brand x dropper is just as good as a reverb. Ok so the lever is a bit wobbly but a bontrager dropline lever at £17 fixes that.  Sell your old reverb for £100 + and you got a whole new 1x dropper for less than a rever 1x lever and with 2 yrs warranty.

I believe on modern rims all you need to do is cover the spoke holes.

Target was Southdowns way in sub 12 hours. Achieved that in May, 11hr 31m, so now enjoying riding the MTB with a good level of fitness underneath.

Dont forget the noise issue either. Stiff RF tyres transit a lot of  noise. A 330d m sport touring on 19s is not a quiet car. Bridgestone S001. Changed to goodyear much better noise levels.

Also get tge dealer to code the start stop function to “last setting”. Its crap having to disable the SS every time you get in the car.

Thank you organisers, my first HONC coming up from the Southdowns.

I did the 75k think that 50/50 road to off road it would not be too hard.

Wrong, the last incline to Cleeve Hill had me wondering where my fitness had gone given that I think I’m quite fit at the moment.

Forget the USB caddy and plug the disk direct into a spare SATA port on the pc mother board plus power ofc.

Use mini tool partition wizard to see if the disk is recognised and that there is a valid partition.

If this fails it’s Fubar to the average user.

Watch out for the dodgy Spanish hire car companies who claim every last mark.

Got charged €250 excess.   3rd party insurance (axa)  stated fair wear and tear therefore not covered.

I’m guessing the perfect bike would look something like this:

    Calling robcolliver …

He is skiing at the moment, he has done more legs of the SDW than anyone here, so listen to what he says.

Think is planning a leisurely double this year.

As a further update and a bump, got the car back at the weekend and it all looks good. No cost to us.

I think an adequate result all round.

I’ve used and seen both. 30x slightly nicer screen but you don’t really notice, think it has better SD card support but thats about it.

if you’ve got a ’30 then a ’30x is not enough of an upgrade.

I went for an Oregon 700 for a bigger screen. Miss the proper buttons when on the MTB and the battery life is noticeably shorter. Much better interface though.

I’ll second that thanks, a decent ride on some new to me trails with the trails running well apart that bast…d chalk hill climb!

Got a free beer too but no prize.

Rob and I came 48th in the long route, not that it was a race.

Uses open stretmaps. Just select the area you want and it’ll build a map for you.

    Works worldwide.

You’ll need a Garmin gps with CD card. And they are free.

I’m 5’11 and slung a leg over a mates large CR Honzo with a 70mm stem and it felt too big for me. Very long. Look at the top tube lengths or reach compared to bikes you know.

I ride a 19.5″ (18.5″ actual?) trek stache with a 640mm top tube and 35mm stem. Spot on.

Yes “In Stock” item was not in stock. No notification just had to cancel after got bored of waiting. Potential £30 saving on a Monarch rear shock. Would not bother again.

Pendle, typically British, basic but very configurable. Get n+1 version, i.e. for 2 bikes buy a 3 bike version and fit 2 positions. This spaces the bikes out and avoids rub.

They even do a plus sized option too.

There are usually several on eBay.

Went from 51 to 46 (I think) back to 51 on a Mk1 Trek Stache.

Noticed the difference in tight uphill corners. Much preferred the 51.

Carbon Stache 9.8 (29+) here. Without doubt best bike I’ve owned to date, great for anything from XC to very rugged trail riding.

Only downside is choice of tyres and price of said choice.

Online purchase so send the whole bike back under distance selling and buy the right size bike.

Actually buy the right size bike first and send the wrong one back later.

Yup, had considered that approach but they are offering £500 less than trade in price.

And they’ll knock you down when they see the car

Buy a Pendle 4 bike rack and only fit 3 positions. Plenty of space without bikes touching. Really quick to attach if you can tolerate the bolted on towball adapter.

    Stage 4? Stage5?

Full sus 29er and good geometry.

I’ve had a Segment and that was very capable. I guess it depends on whether you want 27.5 or 29?

    Modern 29ers really handle well!

Excess insurance doesn’t work when your scammed for minor fair wear and tear issues. Lost €250 though goldcar on a tiniest mark on the bonnet of a very tired Yaris in Tenerife.

    excess insurance wouldn’t pay up.

As a matter of an update, the Skoda dealer with authorisation from Skoda UK, is going to fully repair the car at their cost and give us documentation that the original paintwork and corrosion warranties are intact.

My wife much time on the phone sorting this and remained calm throughout so much kudos to her!

Logitech Squeezebox Server on your NAS and raspberry Pi with picore player as the squeezebox player and Squeezer on your phone to control.

Works perfectly with true gapless playback.

edit – Ah doesn’t know what a NAS is. Stand-down
