I did it 7 days after taking it out to get benefit of the PCP incentive.

Rang up the company, asking for a closing balance and paid of using debit card.

We’ve used them. Very good.  On return they check the fuel level and aren’t interested in minor damage to the car was not even checked over.

Downside is that you may have several pre-existing dents which you may want to photo before setting out for peace of mind.

Don’t recall leaving a credit card bond either.

Main dealer if you plan to sell shortly.  It would affect my decision as a buyer.

They are OEM forks supplied as part of a Trek.  Not sure if Silverfish would entertain warranty, that would be Treks problem.

Motorcycle courier.  A friend had his 2nd hand ebike delivered that way.

They will deliver it standing up and tied down by the handlebars

If you take cash insist that it is banked first if you are worried about forgery.  Means you have to do collection on a working day.

I did for a 12k car and the buyer was OK with that.

The bank said cash was safe the moment it was counted in.

ETRTO Says that 650B is 584mm and 29″ is 622mm.  Thats 38mm differince in diameter which is 19mm at the axle.  I can’t see how the OP got 50mm difference in front end height.

My wife (the keen astronomer) and I went to Idaho to see the 2017 eclipse.  We had perfectly clear skies and it was an impressive sight. We recoreded the event (from a camera we did not touch) .  The most interesting part was the over reaction from the Yanks with their whooping and hollering !!

We had to book accomation years in advance and we just managed to squeak into a motel.

We plan to see the Spain one too.

Not sure why I’m being cautious about revealing the plate, since as soon as I advertise I’m revealing it.

    Its  P1 ROS

Fully aware about the revealing too much about the V778 as it can be easily used.

Depending on the quality of workmanship you require, you may need a dedicated crimp tool.

Otherwise a generic crimp tool may do, or worse still fine nose pliers

Be aware these excees covers only cover genuine damage in my opinion not an option for shady practices of the european holiday hire car companies.

I got charged 250€ for a tiny less than a stone chip mark on a very scruffy Yaris in Spain. We thought we picked up scuffed alloys, bumpers and dented doors but let the bonnet as unmarked on the collection inspection. Chances are it was already known about and a ‘trap’ by the hire car company.

Claimed on my excess insureance and they refused payment because the damage was not significant and not actively casued by any carelessness or wrong doing by me. Fair wair and tear effectively.

I take out hire car company provided cover now the lack of stress about damage and their fear of charges is worth the cost. I literally can collect a car, not inspect it other than a cursory check and then return it free of worry.

Do you think the tweeter or woofer is burned out.

The tweeter is relatively easy to damage with a clipping amp.  Woofer much less so.

What is the power rating of the amp ?  And the speakers?

Would going for a 44mm have any negative (or positive) effect?

I notice difference between 51 and 44mm. 51mm will corner better and 44mm more stable.

Trek pioneered 51mm years ago and nearly everyone followed suit, but the current trend is now back to 44.

I tried 44mm on a Trek Stache 120mm and hated it.

We got as TCe150 4×4 Duster. Decent car, not economical and built down to a cost. We bought it as a tool and it fulfils the purpose wel. Would not want to use it every day. Lots of little irritations
. Cruise control on/off is by the hand brake
. Steering wheel buttons no backlight
    . Lots of minor rattle.
    . Boot floor flimsy
    . Wind noise.

But I am comparing to a premium German car.

Try EBC red downhill pads. Super grippy but don’t last long and work just as well when baking hot. I use them in the Alps without any issue on my 4 pot XT’s and prior to that on 2 pot XT’s. I’m not heavy but am a rear brake dragger

I always find in Alps type riding I drag the back brake and a 203 rear rotor is essential just to get the required heat dissipation. At the end of a week its always the back rotor that has discoloured.

I’ve used XT 2 pots for ages (I weight 74kg) but the new 4 pots are amazing.

My 3.0L BMW with 35k on the clock has used a total of 25L so far. Pleased with that. I think its down to how hard the engine works.

All taps have low flow rate once the initial surge has died down.

I think the PRV can be serviced and cleaned by unscrewing the plastic cover which is hiding away behind the expansion vessel in the picture.

I have no pressure gauge on the water circuit.
There is a pressure gauge in the boiler but that’s for the rads and the heating coil not the main water storage.

    @boardinbob
: It does look like a lot of the newer valves do have gauges as you say.

Cons, if you load a GPX track it will not auto re-route. You have to plan in the Beeline App. Deal breaker for me.

I did not buy the hardware just used he Beeline “Arrow” on an old phone.

You,ll need a new olive and probably barb (brass or silver colour depending on hose.) You’ll need to shorten the hose to cut off the old barb.

I’m sure someone will say you are OK reusing it all. Your brakes, your face when it all goes pear shaped!

Being under-biked is fine, right up until the point that it isn’t.

Being correct-biked is fine, right up until the point that it isn’t.

Under biking is a term for not reading the conditions.

Sorry for the bump, but rather than start a new topic.

But for my car, I’m using the karcher snow foam lance and Simoniz Snow foam. The result is so thin and it just runs of my car, no cling whatsoever. The local hand car wash use purely a foam and not hand washing and get a great result.

So what do the pros use, a better lance and better foam ?

I use an agricultural, simple Pendle rack. It can take 4 bikes, but I only ever fit 3 sets of ‘clamps’. Loads n loads of clearance. Avoids the usual threading fiddle of the A frame at the front with 3 horizontal clamps to get through low full sus frames with shocks in the triangle.

Another 29+ bike in the mould of the later Trek Staches. Maybe 140mm travel. I love mine and can find nothing to better it in the current market place. Mine has done 6 seasons of hard use while still in good order it is looking tired and I’d like another :-)

Big shortage of mechanical engineers apparently, my neighbour was saying Cambridge Consultants were struggling to find enough…

Yes, looks like a shortage of all staff and we are busy and expanding.

Agencies are giving us grads (OK) or too experienced (read last job move before retire, I know I can’t be ageist). I need 5-10 years experience.

So it looks like linkedin is my best bet as expected.

I have a decent profile as does my company, we post a fair bit.

I noticed the hashtag #lookingforwork, but that just turns up lots of irrelevant hits with limited filtering to the basic user.

Will endeavour to give premium a look.

    Thanks all.

£250 is too low. I had some generic V6 ones at £80 / pair. They were crackly and can only talk to one person at a time.

I now have a £299 Cardo Freecom 4 which while better is frankly dissapointing unless there is clear ine of sight. Don’t think that can do 4 way comms, but does pair to 3 other devices. I use Satnav and my Son as two of the 3, but he can’t hear my SatNav.
I think you can do rider to rider chaining up to 4 riders through a central rider.
