    Get a debt collector in.

If you haven’t got one, use this guy – http://www.linkedin.com/pub/rob-lewis/24/208/3b

He’s recovered debts for me in the past and is VERY cost effective.

New stem is one the way with Santa and the steerer will get cut down once I’ve been out for a few rides and found the right height.

Colour is amazing though – although not to everyone’s taste.

    Eyup…

Finally got my C456 on the workstand yesterday to build it up. Not had chance to ride it yet and it needs some finishing.

I went for the subtle yellow. My theory is that at least I won’t need lights when riding this.

I bought one of the yellow ones thinking it was end of line and didn’t realise it was a new colour. Been in the garage for a week waiting to be built up and hopefully getting round to it this weekend.

@winston_dog – would a 10 speed triple work on my 9 speed tripple?

    Struggling to find a 105 for a triple, 9 speed at 34.9

In fact – struggling to find anything at all in that spec.

Think it may be a job for the LBS.

It’s a bolt on, not braze.

Can’t get into the garage to check the diameter but from reading online it’s a 34.9

Tiagra is the current one and its bent far too easy.

Happy to spend enough to get quality – but I don’t want/need top end kit. Maybe £30 ish?

    Brilliant. Thanks guys.

If you could email the gpx files to andy at Andrew-banks.co.uk that would be ace.

    Thanks

Thanks. Just after some steady XC stuff of an hour or two.

Recovering from a knee injury and just desperate to get out without making it worse by doing too much.

@cougar it’s not strictly true that the only winner is the house – especially with poker. Margins in online poker are no where near what you think as it’s other players that take the winnings.

Also, in online casinos approx 95-98% of all bets placed go back to users – so they’re not really creaming it in given the cost of running these sites.

Not condoning/condemning it and not saying the house doesn’t win – but it’s not as lucrative as most people think.

I run a web agency and will only use two hosts.

Tagadab.com is where we host most things and currently have 7 servers with them. UK based and excellent support.

PipeTen.com is where I used to host most things. Great service and very cost effective.

Thought I’d just better add a few things here.

Most importantly my wife chose the kitchen colours :)

A few people have mentioned why bring this up and a forum and not go straight to On One and a few comments on ‘what do you expect for a cheap frame’.

I only posted on here to check whether this was a fault or a design feature – nothing in my original message slagged On One off. It looked a deliberate shape so wanted to check first before going back to On One or trying to knock a headset in last night.

I know full well On One will replace it as my experience at their showroom yesterday and my experience with their customer service in the past has been faultless.

The quality of the frame, if it wasn’t for this knock it’s had on the front, is excellent and the headset I bought to go with it seems to be great value for money – and that’s what it comes down to surely?

We all have different ideas of what’s cheap and what’s expensive but I’m more than happy in paying £400 for this frame – once this little bump has been ironed out.

No, but I went to their shop today to look at one.

It’s the same design as the yellow one in terms of decals. White logo up the seat tube, white panel under the bottom and the colour is neon orange – very bright and vivid.

I’m up Halifax way and nearly headed down to Rotherham to the showroom anyway yesterday.

Might try and get a visit in this week to go try one out.

Unless anyone on here has one laying about in the Halifax area – a proper ride would be preferred as opposed to just sitting on one in their shop.

I’ve got that exact model on loan from friends at the moment.

Yes it’s noisy but does the job it’s meant to do.

I’ve nothing to compare it to and if you hadn’t mentioned it being noisy I’d have thought nothing of it.

If you want a brand at a sensible price go to Screwfix and buy a Helly Hanson from their trade range.

Great soft shell at a decent price. You’re not paying through the nose for something ‘cycling specific’.

Had one for three years and swear by it in winter.

Thank you for replying in English! Makes it pretty clear which is the right choice for me.

I’m happy to be plugging away XC for 4 hour plus rides so comfort is key. I also want something that will have the ability to be thrown about – when my confidence allows! Looks like Soul is the right choice.

    Cheers,
    Andy

You won’t go wrong with Otley and I quite like Skipton.

Loads of riding in the area also.

Can’t stand Keighley though – just feels run down every time I drive through.

So any old 11 tooth BBB ones then or are they specific to my mech?
