Got a ten year old Enduro and a nine year old Joystick. Both still being used!

Interesting hadn’t considered those. Seems like a good build for the money. Not currently in stock despite the “buy now” description on website :(

Thank you, that’s the reply I was interested in hearing, because the Canaries was on my possible destinations. Not sure I’m comfortable with international travel yet….

Skoda roomster with two of the three back seats removed is my bike / surfboard carrying car of choice. Would depend how long your windsurf boards are I guess…

I would add with photobox it is worth paying for the slightly better quality books. The cheap ones are a bit, well cheap.
Discount codes will typically cover the price difference

Ten years ago it was all handlebar width. Then reach. But now it seems like offset is flavour of the month.

God, there’s some bollocks being spouted on here. If you work in healthcare wash your hands, put a mask on and get jabbed. It’s really not much to ask.

Before I’m accused of double standards, I’d like it to be compulsory in all work places. By all means be an anti vax moron, but do it somewhere where you’re not endangering me and my family.

Not really a fan of fireworks. Equally don’t like barking dogs and stepping in poo. Should we maybe ban both? ;)

I’m firmly of the opinion that sram 1x gravel stuff (particularly the cheaper groupsets) is plastic tat. I had never ending problems. In the end replaced the bike with something Shimano equipped and it’s been a million times better.

    I’ll never buy sram again.

    My thoughts:

Just take it a bit easier on the bike. Stopping completely will lose your fitness.
Find a good physio. Well worth the money in my experience.

Trans rights groups are particularly vociferous on social media. I can understand why charities might choose to avoid a potential social media storm.

There’s an article on bikepacking.com about singlespeeding (in the last day or so)… If I remember correctly this issue is covered in the comments.

Working again! Must have just been having a minute! Thanks

I had similar and a physio identified one leg as stronger than the other. The imbalance was causing problems. Getting in and out of the van could cause it I imagine. A decent physio is worth the money IME.

You’re gonna take advice from strangers on the internet about a broken vertebrae? Good luck.

Looks exactly the same as the holes badgers make in my lawn every night at the minute.

As above. However, during the wait for a build I emailed them to ask them to switch brakes (right rear) which they did. So if you want a longer steerer I’m sure they could also assist.

One morning i got to watch a barn owl hunting for ten minutes or so, just the other side of the fence from the cyclepath. That was pretty good.

Riding through Newton Abbot twice a day for weeks on end. Broken glass, craapy driving, awful roads. That’ll wear you down after a while.

I watched a bit a while back. Wished I hadn’t, remembered it as brilliant, is actually bloody awful.

Rapha do two sizes. The bigger of the two are ok if not massive.

    Remove the gyro.
Buy some Odyssey brake pads and brake cable.
    Will work great.

Speak to a decent broker. It’s a complicated product with loads of different options. Make sure you understand which underwriting method the policy uses and the implications for you. Also check which hospitals are available in your area. Not all policies give the same level of cover.

As above a sup would be terrible to try and learn to surf on. They have about three or four times the volume. Just way too big.

Semi related question… do drug dealers still rely on cash or do they use electronic transfers (and if so isn’t that easily tracked evidence)

Can you turn the brightness down on that model? Makes a big difference on battery life on my 520+

Limited options immediately from Dawlish. However there is cycle path up the estuary to Exeter (and down the other side to Exmouth).
Off road stuff you’re probably looking at a ride up the hill to Haldon.

Maybe worth driving to Newton Abbot. There is cycle path from there to Bovey Tracey. Then you have options:
    1. Turn left and head to Dartmoor.
    2. Go straight on there’s more cycle path to Mortenhampstead
    3. Go right and Haldon trail centre is a few miles away

All have gravel options if you have a look on the maps.

Slightly further afield there’s really nice gravel riding from Steps Bridge, to Clifford and then Fingle Bridges. You could make that part of a lengthy loop including Mortenhampstead.

A friend was massively scared of spiders. A particular problem given she lived in Australia. She went to a course at a zoo where they got her handling spiders. It worked. Last time I was there she happily removed a huntsman from the house. No idea if there’s a similar course in this country…

    I once did this:

“It is with great pleasure that I resign with immediate effect”

I thought that was pretty mild. The HR woman went mental.

Probably a satellite passing overhead. They can be pretty bright depending on conditions (although not normally as bright as the ISS)

I asked a similar question when considering 1×11 and cable discs. General consensus seemed to be use 2×11 shifters and just not use the left.

I’ll have a look at it after heavy rain, particularly if surfing the murky waters of S Devon…

So we’re on a cycling forum and people are seriously arguing more roads are the answer to congestion. Jeez.

I’ve got the steel gravel CGR. Happy enough with Ribble and would use again. Rear mech needed some adjustment when it arrived. The stuff that Ribble make was all decent quality uk designed taiwan (I presume) built stuff. Avoid the cheap sram groupsets and go shimano if you can.

I haven’t had a formal diagnosis yet. Although have spoken to my physio on the phone… I’m hoping it’s not too serious as it has improved over the past couple of days. Think I’m gonna quit running; to many minor niggles.
