We’ve got half honed limestone flags over our ufh. Would look nice if it extended outside I’d imagine .

Just got back, Bash conditions are great, a touch damp if you go up Walla, but otherwise 99.9% snow free, and today, blue skies. Shame about saturdays forecast!

I’m going to ride the Bash this morning, will let you know 😁

Only at Cockermouth to begin with though, so already know there’ll be no snow on the route.

Even if you ride Inners all day, you should potter up to do Flat White, it’s the easiest to get to anyway.

The only downside of the Golfie is the graft to wind yourself back up to the top every time.

The 5.10 rep told me the Guide Tennie was the hike a bike shoe of choice. It’s a climbers approach shoe, and you can get a low or high top version. I’ve got the low, and it is nice, while also being handy for scrambling and boldering trips!

Main roads are all fine West of Keswick, and most of the the lower lying back roads are passible if you’ve got the right tires. It’s a much better story over here that East of the M6!

Can I for one just say, I will never ever be sick of the incessant snow updates!

    Carry on chaps, good job.

You could phone Biketreks at Ings. Except I believe the staff couldn’t make it in….

Can depend a bit on the thighs. My Lady had a pair of the Madison ones, but they rubbed through on the sides of the saddle after 3 rides. Lifetime guarantee though, so got the money back.

If its just for odd rides or getting caught out, theres a lot to be said for the old army surplus cutoffs. My missus wouldn’t go out if it was already peeing down anyway, so fashions not much of an issue!

Well it’s an easterly, and I’m in West Cumbria, so I’m looking forward to a week of blue skies.

V8, don’t forget if she does end up buying her own clobber, you can claim a wee tax break for having to launder your work kit. Think its only about £6 a month, but might as well have it than not.

Wasn’t referring to anyone on here really. I notice to Beeb turns on the comments for anything that people would be particularly likely to troll though.

When racing sucks, it really sucks. God forbid she expresses any emotion on the telly and get lambasted on the internet by fat tossers who’ve never lifted a finger in their life.

If your susceptible to a bit of felled tree rage, don’t go and check out the saga of Amey and Sheffield council…

    Think they’re over 6000 now.

Total no brainer for production, but given what new busses and California’s go for now, I won’t concern myself with affording one. I’ll say it’ll be an easy £60k plus options.

“I wonder if our ability to drive hundreds of miles without stopping, carrying all our gear and families with us, has led to more geographic mobility. We now live further from family, take jobs that are a commute away, have jobs that include lots and lots of travel etc.”

Pretty much what they said about the bicycle wasnt it? Once people didnt have to have an expensive horse to leave the village :D

Private medicine for animals costs the same as humans, and you’ve had a previous claim for something that could well reappear on paper.

Sadly insurers know that a bit of sentimentality goes a long way on the bottom line.

I got a banger Fiat multipla with one owner from new. Other good choices are Mazda 6s and the original Focus.

Yep, Whinlatter all day long if you’re already staying at Bass. Maybe Threlkeld/Glendaterra loop from Keswick for a easyish natural ride. And of course the Borrowdale Bash.

Wolftooth is nicer to use if you’ve got the cash, fox lever is fine too though I thought, just not as slick.

I’ve got an edge, but probably not the best choice for rough and tumble as it’s glass front and back. Standard S7 is normally to be found much cheaper too. Only real difference is the edge has a slightly better battery.

Sounds like it should be worth a bash then, going to get one with a radio in, as I was after a bedside one anyway.

“I’ve camped there. It’s dreadful. No lake either. I don’t know why I kept going back.”

Probably the busy motorway and the raw sewage plant keeping you awake all night.

I’m forced to echo the OPs sentiment. It’s really not worth it. Just like the deserted roads on car adverts, its totally fictional.

Sudden step up in duration is normally what triggers mine. If you’ve not done much over winter, that could be the main cause.

I was skeptical the first time round, but it’s an amazing game considering how little there is in it! Must be to do with the soundtrack I guess.

I’ve got a 29 Comp. Great geo and spec. Frame’s stiff as all the reviews say and you wont get a dropper, but the Nukeproof one is a bit naff anyway.

    Buy.

If you can afford to be “surprised”, I’d leave it until someone notices/you leave the job/ apply for another C2W in two years time etc. Hardly a disciplinary offence is it?

Snowlines about 200m, low level might be ok as it’s only just laid the last day or two.

    Andy_K

No that’s the lever end. It’ll have to be 3rd party I’d say though, as the original is a swaged fitting.

I kept east of Scotland and Pennines, it was great. Defo second doing as much riding as possible in the morning, much nicer.

Medium term it’s probably a safe bet with a good divvy, but oil shares long term? Hmm, You’d be a mug to bet against the mass electrification of transport in the next 10-20 years. It’s not unreasonable to think they will eventually only go one way. Diversification for the win.

We know a Danish couple who got their kid a ball pool to play in.

    The balls?

    All shades of grey.

Most joyless thing I’ve ever seen.

Use by or best before? Either way I’m sure it’ll be fine if it’s in as sealed pack.

Slow as standard I’m afraid. Just replaced mine with a Mojo sale fox one.

Depends, we have the dish because they only transmit one of the two freeview frequencies here, the one with all the licence fee bits on.

Think you get extra tv and radio channels on the satellite, and you can pick any BBC local region.

Humax Freesat box on your existing sky dish. I’ve just had a new one now the lounge is sorted. It has built-in WIFI for iplayer etc.

Youview is the name for catchup/timeshifting on internet enabled Freeview (i.e. via aerial) boxes.

    Edit: I bought this, but the 1TB version;
    Humax PVR
